Chapter 101: Shocking My Mom (Part 1)
The stone giant, shielding me and charging forward relentlessly, was constantly battered by a series of impacts, making me sway back and forth in its palm, feeling utterly miserable.
Clearly, at Nana Lu’s level, her attacks weren’t limited to mere physical combat—
Wave after wave of sharp energy was unleashed by Nana Lu, smashing into my stone giant, and with each strike, chunks of rock were shattered from its body.
At the rate of Nana Lu’s ferocious assault, it wouldn’t take the full half-hour for the giant’s energy to run out—it would be beaten to pieces long before that.
But I wasn’t too worried about this, as the stone giant, through pre-prepared magical runes, continuously absorbed new rocks from the ground to repair its damaged form while enduring the attacks.
“Enough! Stop right there!”
But just as this cat-and-mouse chase hadn’t even lasted five minutes, Nana Lu seemed to lose her patience.
With a furious shout, my hair stood on end, and I instinctively commanded the stone giant to roll to the side!
In an instant, I felt the world spin, but then an even stronger impact followed.
A powerful blast of dark red energy struck the path we’d been on, instantly throwing the already-rolling stone giant off balance, causing it to tumble several more times across the ground.
The stone giant could roll without issue, but I, protected in its hand, took the brunt of it—
As it rolled, my body kept slamming against the hard rock…
Before this, I had tightly clutched the backpack with the two egg babies to my chest, curling my body to shield them as much as possible.
The egg babies had endured plenty of impacts today… if they were ordinary magical beast eggs, they’d have shattered long ago, but these two were tough, still showing no signs of damage.
That said, in the moment of crisis, I instinctively tried to minimize any harm to the egg babies.
“Ugh…”
After the series of collisions, I felt a sticky sensation on my forehead, my entire body aching from the impacts.
The pain nearly made me pass out, and I felt dizzy, but I chose the most direct method to jolt my senses.
I bit down hard on my tongue again—
I had bitten it earlier to restore my energy, and by now, the tip of my tongue had unknowingly healed.
That’s why I chose to bite it again to forcibly sharpen my focus.
The taste of blood filled my mouth once more, and the sharp pain helped me regain a bit of clarity.
Refocusing, I commanded the stone giant to stand again, shielding me as it charged forward once more—the entire ordeal lasted less than ten seconds, but in that time, I could feel Nana Lu closing in even more.
Like a Damocles’ sword hanging over my head, Nana Lu’s approach filled me with immense pressure.
I could sense her anger now—a delicious prey she thought was already hers had suddenly bolted, even managing to mentally control her for a minute, leaving her, a noble vampire, utterly humiliated.
So I knew that if Nana Lu caught me now, my fate would be utterly tragic.
That’s why… I absolutely couldn’t stop!
I thought to myself darkly, and at that moment, I felt the two egg babies in the backpack I was clutching begin to stir.
A storm of mental energy was brewing, and to my shock, I could sense two faint magical arrays slowly forming on the shells of the egg babies!
