Chapter 42: What You’re not Convinced?

This was Lin Xiaoxiao’s first period since becoming a woman, and she’d subconsciously forgotten about it until now.

When it hit, the pain was excruciating. She didn’t know why it hurt so much, but it didn’t stop her from cursing her miserable fate…

Zhou Ting continued, “I’ll get you some medicine. Stay put.”

She instinctively protested, “No need, I’ll be fine soon…”

In school, she’d endured colds and stomach aches by toughing it out. This felt no different.

But Zhou Ting wasn’t having it—she was the one who should obey him. He swiftly changed shoes and left.

Alone in the room, Lin Xiaoxiao lay back down.

Drifting off, she suddenly felt warmth on her stomach, as if something was gently rubbing it…

Her eyes snapped open. Zhou Ting was holding her, his hand on her belly.

Blinking, she stammered, embarrassed, “W-what are you doing?”

He chuckled. “Awake? You said your stomach hurt, so I’m rubbing it.”

The pain did ease under his touch, but his restless hand…

“N-no, stop rubbing…” she murmured.

He raised an eyebrow, noticing her flushed, alluring face. “Thinking naughty thoughts again, little one?”

She froze, ducking her head, indignant. “I’m not! It’s you…”

Her words trailed off. This jerk—rubbing her stomach was one thing, but his wandering hand was another…

Yet she had no power to resist his teasing, left at his mercy.

Soon, she noticed something off, glancing down and mumbling, “M-my pants…”

Before she could finish, he said bluntly, “I changed them. They were dirty—wouldn’t be comfortable sleeping.”

Her jaw dropped, speechless, but he continued, “I put a pad on you too. So what?”

Her face felt like it was steaming. Glaring resentfully, she felt utterly exposed, with no privacy left…

Guessing her thoughts, he said boldly, “What, got a problem with that?”

She huffed, ignoring him.

He’d only meant to tease her, so seeing her mortified expression, he didn’t push further.

He fetched the medicine he’d bought and a cup of warm brown sugar water, holding it to her lips. “Take the medicine.”

She paused, a wave of warmth rising in her heart. This jerk always bullied her, but he had his gentle moments…

Obediently, she took the medicine. Noticing his stare, she squirmed. “W-why are you looking at me?”

He shrugged, sitting beside her, playing with her medium-length hair. “Just thinking about how I can’t ‘eat meat’ for a few days. How will you make it up to me?”
