Chapter 37: You should only watch movies in the cinema.

Whether it was the movie’s plot or the absurd live show from the other couple, Yan Qingxin, after the kiss, climbed onto Lu Zhao’s lap, straddling him.

Facing away from the screen, her expression was hard to read in the dim light, but her words struck him as oddly familiar.

“Baby~ let’s… you stay still, let me handle it.” Her tone was as gentle as ever.

But the last time he’d heard something like this, it was stern, commanding.

“No moving, no talking. Oh… here, bite this so you won’t make a sound. Heh~”

In a flash, he saw Yan Ruyue’s shadow in Yan Qingxin. Like mother, like daughter? They didn’t look alike, but their tastes were eerily similar.

He wasn’t rattled—after surviving transmigration, what couldn’t he handle?

His belt was undone, shirt lifted, her soft yet strong hands gliding over his chest, tracing his waist.

“Mmm…” A stifled groan escaped her, teeth clenched.

Warmth mixed with tremors, clumsy yet stubborn.

Lu Zhao, who hadn’t planned on this, felt heat rising.

He’d just judged those two women for ignoring the setting, and now here he was.

Yan Qingxin, perhaps thinking the same, nibbled his ear.

“Baby, think those two noticed we’re doing the same?”

Her voice wavered—clearly, her first time in such a place was thrilling.

Lu Zhao grabbed her hands, interlocking their fingers, teasing her.

“What? You want them to notice and join in?”

He expected her to snap back, but she went silent, trembling violently.

The reaction stunned him, his mouth twitching.

No way… does this girl have some weird kink too?

But she quickly bit his neck hard, dispelling the thought, making him hiss in pain.

Feeling she’d gone too far, she licked the spot tenderly, then said in a tone he’d never heard:

“Baby, say that again, and it won’t be like this. You’re mine… only mine…”

He couldn’t see her face but knew he’d upset her.

That comment would’ve been explosive in any world.

“Sorry, Qingxin, I shouldn’t have said that.”

She didn’t reply, just pinned his hands to the armrests, her long legs clamping his waist in response.

Maybe it was his imagination, but she seemed especially… enduring today.

He didn’t know where the movie was, but the leads were probably kissing.

The sound of lips and tongues came not just from the speakers above but from their own entangled mouths.

Half-reclined, Lu Zhao felt dizzy. He cursed his weak body.

Low strength was bad enough, but this low resistance? A little charm and pressure, and he was powerless, sensitivity spiking.

Who could stand this?

Still, it wasn’t all bad—his stats and stamina were decent.

As expected, Yan Qingxin tapped out first.

After a quick cleanup, with the movie still running, they left. The other couple was still there, not watching either.

“Baby, was the movie good?” Yan Qingxin looked refreshed, cheeks rosy.

You’re asking that? With your… assets in my face, what could I see?

“It was… fine?”

“Let’s come again next time, okay?”

You’re hooked now?

“Tch…”

Moving his neck, a sharp pain hit.

Yan Qingxin checked it, realizing in the dark theater she hadn’t seen how hard she bit.

Outside, she saw the mark and winced. “Sorry, Baby, I… I went too hard.”

He pinched her cheek. “It’s fine. Bleeding?”

“No, just a deep mark.”

“Then it’s okay.”

She looked puzzled suddenly.

“What’s up?” he asked.

“Nothing, just… Baby, you never get mad, do you?”

“Don’t I?”

“Nope.”

“Isn’t that good? Means you never make me mad.”

“Oh? I’m that great?” Her smile returned.

Her occasional childishness made him treat her like a little sister.

Who wouldn’t love their sister? Probably no one.

Back at Lu Zhao’s place, Yu Baowei soon returned.

“Qingxin, Lu Zhao, wait long?”

She dropped her groceries at her place, still in her work clothes, and knocked on his door.

“Nope,” Yan Qingxin said. “Auntie Yu, why didn’t you tell me you’re our counselor?”

“Wanted to surprise you.”

With only two pairs of slippers at Lu Zhao’s, Yu Baowei padded in her black stockings—fine in summer.

“Big surprise. Why’d you stop visiting our house? I missed you.”

Her question caught Yu Baowei off guard. She glanced at Lu Zhao, who shook his head—he hadn’t said anything.

She dodged the truth. “Work’s been busy, and your studies aren’t light either…”

The women caught up for a while.

At dinner time, Yu Baowei suggested eating at her place, with plenty of ingredients and snacks for Yan Qingxin.

At her house, as she wondered how to naturally get Lu Zhao cooking, Yan Qingxin gave her the perfect opening.

“Auntie Yu, you haven’t tried Lu Zhao’s cooking, right? Let him cook tonight—he’s amazing.”

Not intentional, just bragging about her handsome, culinary-gifted boyfriend.

Lu Zhao and Yu Baowei’s hearts sank, exchanging a subtle glance, both feeling a twinge of guilt for the deception.

“Sounds good. Let Miss Yu taste my skills. You two wait here.” Lu Zhao headed to the kitchen.

Yan Qingxin caught his phrasing. “Auntie Yu, why’s he calling you Miss Yu?”

Yu Baowei, lounging on the couch, wiggled her stockinged feet after a long day standing.

“Oh, I told him to. ‘Auntie Yu’ makes me feel old.”

“But… fine, I can’t call you that either?”

She didn’t mind too much.

Seeing her take it seriously, Yu Baowei smiled. “No, Qingxin, call me whatever. Here, I got your favorite snacks.”

“Sweet~ Whoa, so much beer?”

Yu Baowei stashed the beers in the fridge. “For drinking, but you’re too young for it.”

Yan Qingxin pouted. “Who says? I’m a college student. Tonight, I’m drinking with you!”

“Oh, feisty? Just like your mom. But you’ve got class tomorrow—no overdoing it.”

In the kitchen, Lu Zhao’s hand shook, a bad feeling creeping in. He’d never seen Yan Qingxin drink.

This girl better not get plastered. Could he even handle two drunks?
