Chapter 67: If you have the guts, fight me to the death!
Halfway through the fight, Pride quietly lifted her control over Jasmine and Rose.
Caught in the heat of battle, neither noticed.
Instead, freed from control, they took the fight more seriously.
To Pride, it was reminiscent of when she, as Iris, fought alongside her comrades as new magical girls, tackling pollutants together.
Back then, they hadn’t mastered channeling magic fully, couldn’t cast spells, or unleash their unique magic.
They could only infuse magic into their weapons and fight pollutants up close.
Injuries were common.
But those days were joyful. Returning to the Flower Shop after a mission always felt fulfilling.
No matter how tough or tiring, having each other made it worthwhile.
The old Iris was gone, but a new Iris was blooming.
And now, there was an adorable Pansy too.
The magical girl team would grow stronger, and Pride would watch them rise to greater heights.
Rose’s weapon could switch forms. In dual-pistol mode, her attack speed was blazing, but the power was lacking, unable to pierce Iris’s defenses.
Rose channeled magic into her guns, combining them into a massive laser sniper rifle.
A crimson laser shot out, rippling the air.
Iris hurriedly opened her parasol to block, but the laser wasn’t like pistol bullets.
Its power exceeded her expectations. Though it didn’t pierce the parasol, the force sent her flying.
Airborne, with no leverage, she was a prime target for Rose.
Aim, charge, fire!
All in one fluid motion!
Bang!
The laser streaked toward the falling Iris.
Unfazed, she retracted her parasol, firing a magic blast sideways, using the recoil to shift her trajectory and dodge.
Thanks to Pride’s guidance, Iris now knew how to leverage her weapon’s strengths for defense and counterattacks.
Her parasol was clunky when firing magic blasts. Powerful linear blasts required charging time.
Firing without charging produced a short-range shotgun effect.
This could repel enemies or be used for close-range attacks.
The latter was risky, often leading to self-injury.
Both blast types generated strong recoil.
Without leverage, the recoil could send Iris flying a short distance.
Used wisely, this recoil could be a game-changer.
Watching Iris’s maneuver, Rose recalled familiar techniques.
“Yao’s moves…”
She learned that fast?
Pride hadn’t explicitly taught her this, only hinting at different blast types.
Was she a genius?
Rose grew puzzled, then noticed her body wasn’t moving while she thought.
She was free!
The realization hit just as a pure white magic blast surged toward her.
Rose twisted, barely dodging, but Iris seized the moment to close in.
A gust of wind grazed Rose’s neck, a faint sting as the sharp parasol-sword pressed against it.
Simultaneously, Jasmine disarmed Pansy, sweeping her off with a lance strike, sending her tumbling across the ground.
Clap clap clap!
Applause echoed from above as Pride looked at Iris with satisfaction.
She was pleased with this Iris!
“Fight’s over.”
As Pride spoke, Jasmine and Rose realized they’d been free for a while, too caught up to notice.
“The results are clear. Jasmine and Iris win. Rose and Pansy lose.”
“Oh my~ Little Rose, losing to a rookie? Were you going easy?”
Pride landed, pinching Rose’s cheeks, inspecting her.
Rose’s eyes blazed, and Pride felt something press against her abdomen.
Looking down, it was Rose’s laser rifle.
Before Rose could fire, Pride warned, “Think carefully. If you shoot and don’t kill me… what happens next?”
Pride’s playful smile made Rose hesitate, her finger freezing on the trigger.
Pride was an infinite-level witch.
Rose was barely transcendent-level, separated by multiple magic tiers.
Last time, even with Jasmine, their full-power attack didn’t scratch Pride.
What could she do alone?
If her actions endangered everyone, she’d be the sinner.
She couldn’t put them at risk!
From their encounters, Pride didn’t seem intent on killing them.
She just… toyed with them.
Yes, toyed!
Thinking of Pride’s past antics, Rose’s anger flared.
But she was too weak to do anything but endure.
“That’s right.”
Pride was pleased to see Rose’s fury subside.
The reckless Rose was growing too~
“I said winners can leave. Losers… hehe~”
Vines shot from the ground, binding Rose and suspending her half a meter in the air.
“Rose!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t kill her. I said before—I quite like magical girls.”
“Oh, right! You two weren’t there last time, but now you know.”
Pride smirked mischievously, circling Rose.
Her delicate hand trailed over Rose, pausing to give her perky butt a firm squeeze.
The texture was perfect, bouncy.
Rose exploded, “Damn witch, let me down and fight me fair!”
Ignoring her curses, Pride delivered a sharp spank, the crisp sound ringing out.
“Aaah!!!”
“I’ll kill you!”
Rose’s roars didn’t anger Pride—they only piqued her interest.
Her gaze shifted to Pansy, who instinctively stepped back.
