Chapter 11: Principal, please don’t judge my little cat casually.

The security guard glanced at the ID Bai Wanting handed over, then looked up at the strikingly elegant beauty before him. His demeanor instantly shifted to one of utmost respect.

“So you’re the new psychology teacher! Principal Tian mentioned you specifically. Please, come in, come in.”

He’d heard the principal had gone to great lengths to recruit a highly accomplished graduate from a top-tier university to provide psychological counseling for the students.

But he never imagined this graduate would be such a young, stunning woman.

As he opened the gate for Bai Wanting, the guard couldn’t help but marvel inwardly.

The students these days were truly blessed to have such a fairy-like teacher.

Bai Wanting thanked him politely and stepped confidently into the city’s renowned key high school.

The campus buzzed with the sound of students reading aloud, brimming with youthful energy, but to her, it was merely a new playground for her and her little darling.

Soon, she arrived at the principal’s office.

“Oh, Teacher Bai, you’re finally here! Please, have a seat!”

A middle-aged man with gold-rimmed glasses and a refined air greeted her warmly. This was Principal Tian.

“Principal Tian, good to see you. I hope I’m not interrupting your work?” Bai Wanting said with a flawless professional smile, her demeanor exuding competence.

“Not at all, not at all! I’ve been eagerly awaiting your arrival!” Principal Tian said, personally pouring her a cup of hot tea, his enthusiasm almost excessive.

“Teacher Bai, I’ve gone over your credentials multiple times—truly impressive for someone so young! It’s an honor for our school to have you!”

After some pleasantries, they quickly got to the point.

Principal Tian took a sip of tea, his expression turning concerned. “Teacher Bai, to be honest, the students are under immense pressure these days.”

“Especially at our school, where competition is fierce. Many kids are stretched thin mentally, and I’m quite worried.”

He paused, then continued in a consultative tone. “So, I was wondering if you could hold a mental health seminar for the first- and second-year students this Friday afternoon to help them manage their recent exam stress?”

“It’d be a great warm-up before you officially start. What do you think?”

“Of course, no problem. It’s part of my job,” Bai Wanting replied with a smile.

“Wonderful!” Principal Tian clapped his thigh. “These kids have so many mental health issues these days!”

“Some students scored brilliantly on their entrance exams but plummeted once they got to high school, unable to recover. Take, for example… Lin Qingya from Class 4, Grade 1.”

At the mention of that name, Bai Wanting’s hand, holding the teacup, paused briefly, though her gentle smile remained unchanged.

Principal Tian, oblivious to her reaction, sighed and continued.

“This Lin Qingya was in the top twenty of her grade when she enrolled—what a promising student!”

“But in less than a semester, she’s dropped to nearly the bottom hundred. Can you imagine how drastic that decline is?”

“I spoke with her homeroom teacher, who said she’s severely struggling with certain subjects. But her teacher teaches chemistry, and Qingya’s chemistry grades are top-notch, so even the teacher defends her. Isn’t that frustrating?”

Bai Wanting lowered her eyes, her long lashes concealing a flash of displeasure.

She sneered inwardly.

Oh, please.

My darling, and I haven’t even complained about her grades—how dare you meddle? The emperor’s not in a hurry, but the eunuch is?

With over a thousand students in this school, being outside the top hundred is still excellent.

Even if Qingya’s grades tanked, even if she came in dead last, so what?

With me supporting her, does she need to care about anyone else’s opinion?

A wild, sweet thought crept into Bai Wanting’s mind.

Why not… just let her quit this damn school?

She could prepare the coziest, cutest little love nest for Qingya.

Dress her up beautifully every day, keep her well-fed and pampered, free from all these worldly troubles.

Her world would only need one person—Bai Wanting.

All she’d need to think about is how to serve her, please her, and love her more…

The idea sent a thrill of twisted excitement through her.

“You’re absolutely right, Principal Tian,” Bai Wanting said, lifting her head with her gentle smile restored. “I’ll pay special attention to Lin Qingya’s situation…”

Just kidding—she’d only pay attention to Lin Qingya.

Meanwhile, in Class 4, Grade 1’s physics lesson.

Lin Qingya propped her chin up, bored, staring at the force diagram on the blackboard.

The little block sliding up and down an inclined plane reminded her of a skiing game she’d played on her phone, Ski Safari.

Beep beep, ding ding, doo doo, da da…

The game’s background music started playing in her head, and she imagined herself controlling the character, dodging obstacles in an avalanche, performing high-difficulty moves, and even riding a yeti…

“Lin Qingya, answer this question.”

The physics teacher’s voice yanked her out of her daydream.

She jolted to her feet, her mind blank, staring at the mechanics problem on the board, unable to utter a word.

“Sit down and pay attention,” the teacher said, not bothering to press her, and called on another student.

Lin Qingya sat down, her face red.

She flipped open her workbook, staring at the incomprehensible problems, her thoughts drifting again.

She recalled last night at the wetland park.

The cold bone fragment, the thick stench of blood…

She couldn’t shake the feeling that the case was significant.

Plus, she’d ditched her teammates, leaving the mess to Weire and the others, which made her feel guilty.

Pandora Group and the contractor behind the park’s renovation… there had to be some hidden connection.

She needed to investigate.

The morning passed in a blur of distracted thoughts.

When the lunch bell rang, Lin Qingya bolted to the cafeteria.

If you’re not enthusiastic about food, you’re doing life wrong.

She expertly ordered her favorite guobaorou, then carried her tray to the quietest corner to sit.

Nibbling her food, she overheard classmates chattering nearby.

“Hey, did you hear? We got a new psychology teacher!”

“I saw her when I dropped off homework this morning—oh my gosh, she’s gorgeous! A total beauty!”

“No way, prettier than our school’s beauty queen?”

“Absolutely! The school beauty doesn’t even compare—she’s on a whole other level! That aura, unreal!”

Psychology teacher?

Lin Qingya’s mind instinctively conjured Bai Wanting’s image.

Sigh, I wonder what Little Sister Bai’s doing right now… Is she still struggling with insomnia?

The thought of Bai Wanting turned her into a giddy fangirl.

As she ate quietly, a cup of brown sugar milk tea was gently placed beside her tray.

Lin Qingya froze, slowly looking up.

There, standing before her, was the very person she’d been thinking of.

Bai Wanting, in a white lab coat, smiled warmly, looking effortlessly stunning.

Meow meow meow?

Why was Little Sister Bai here?!

Lin Qingya stared up at her, dumbfounded, unable to speak.

The two of them instantly became the center of attention, with classmates’ gazes snapping toward them, captivated by the scene.

A petite, adorable lolita student and the breathtaking new teacher who’d just caused a campus stir.

These two seemingly unrelated people were now in the same frame?

And they looked… unusually close!

Everyone turned into gossip-hungry spectators, their curiosity burning.

Oblivious to the prying eyes, Bai Wanting casually ruffled Lin Qingya’s hair with an affectionate, natural gesture.

“Seeing my little Qingya eat so happily is making Sister hungry~”

She sat across from Lin Qingya with ease, her voice soft and indulgent.

“L-Little Sister Bai…”

Lin Qingya’s brain was a blank slate, only able to murmur the familiar nickname instinctively.
