Chapter 24: Lesson 1

Fortunately, this otherworld’s prep bell differed from the original, ringing a full five minutes early, giving the dawdling trio a chance to reach class on time.

Entering the classroom one after the other with Claire, the moment they took seats, the class bell rang fiercely.

Whew… good, not late.

Looking at Claire beside her, cheeks flushed from running, Aaliyah couldn’t help but sigh in relief.

Academy teachers wouldn’t open backdoors for her princess status—if she set a late record on opening day, a lecture was inevitable…

After all, not every teacher like Rhode had her old father’s strict orders.

But rushing still let them sit before the balding middle-aged professor spoke.

Lightly scanning the still-noisy students below, he cleared his throat, waited for quiet, then began lecturing on his own.

<Elementary Magic Theory Overview>

As the first lesson at Starfall, content wasn’t complex—just basic magic knowledge.

“Magic power, necessary for all spellcasting, often divided into tiers one to ten based on personal volume and affinity.”

“Affinities, based on untreated magic nature, roughly wind, water, fire, earth, thunder, light, dark seven.”

“Generally, same-affinity spells easier to cast. With your current strength, mastering low-tier same-affinity spells is already excellent.”

“Next, I’ll demonstrate…”

Following the teacher’s flow, Aaliyah quickly reviewed related knowledge in mind, confirming it matched her memory, then openly started slacking—

If possible, she’d want to be a good listening student.

But every plotline, surviving to first day meant facing this balding professor.

Content unchanged word for word.

So even ignoring her accumulated rich magic experience, Aaliyah truly had no need to listen.

Ha— so sleepy…

Small yawn, Aaliyah slightly turned, looked at Claire beside.

The current saintess maintained outward dignified coldness, but eyes long unfocused on the board, instead meeting Aaliyah’s gaze perfectly.

Clearly, fellow reborn, last life top grades, Claire no need for class type.

Idle people start trouble…

“Master~ Don’t want to hear this uncle lecture? No problem, evening come to Claire’s room, I’ll hand-hand teach Master good, good, stu-dy~”

Catching an unseen angle, Claire leaned to girl’s ear, charming smile soft voice.

“Ahem ahem…”

Feeling warm breath on ear, Aaliyah light coughed twice, quickly averted gaze, directly ignoring Claire teasing brows.

“No need… just simple points, learned once in empire.”

“Master don’t push~”

Claire light laughed, unmindful of snub refusal, fair hand extended, arm swept past Aaliyah’s chest.

Under girl’s light whimpers, directly grabbed the open textbook.

“After all, Master’s book blank~ heehee, looks troubled.”

Blank true, but trouble reason, you unclear?!

Early morning doorstep, nearly fought Phyllis, now broad daylight shameful words…

“No no, I… ngh?!”

About to reach for book, Aaliyah suddenly electrified stiff, shoulders trembled.

Though instant, still noticed by maid miss beside her princess’s oddness.

“Highness? You… alright?”

“Mm… just, just tired, no issue.”

Aaliyah silent moment, forced smile, seeing maid turn away, then snub glare to Claire—

Under desk, unseen darkness, Claire already slipped off small leather shoes.

Silk-wrapped delicate foot slightly hooked right, lightly poked the close beautiful legs.

Up down, like brush over Aaliyah’s white sock exposed tender skin…

“Ahem ahem… Claire classmate, I think, as two nations’ representatives… ngh, outside actions need propriety, cannot, ngh, lose elegance.”

Fearing heard by surroundings, Aaliyah only used vague reminder.

But clearly entered strange state Claire unmoved.

“So, back to dorm, Master willing do happy things with me?”

“Uh…”

Feeling leg shallow deep itch and smoothness, Aaliyah long past caring.

Even hearing Claire’s tiger-wolf words, stiffly nodded, no direct answer: “Anyway, ngh, in classroom somewhat… somewhat unsuitable.”

“Mm~ Master’s meaning, Claire understands.”

Hearing, Claire tilted head, eyes doubt flashed instant, soon masked by obedience.

Desk bottom actions stopped, letting Aaliyah relieved sigh.

Later matters later…

Anyway, likely not go alone to Claire’s room.

Stay own room has Phyllis cover.

Should… no big issue?

At least better than under classmates and teacher’s eyes doing this?

Fortunately Claire obedient, latter half class quietly dazed.

At most occasional ambiguous glance to Aaliyah, truly no more hands feet.

One class time passed in weird peace.

Like original world, students out wandered ten minutes, then obediently back for next.

But this time, familiar balding teacher on podium didn’t start lecturing.

Instead searched among below crowd, long before fixing gaze on middle-back row center, the very close two.

“Aaliyah classmate, and Claire classmate right?”

“Eh?! Y-Yes.”

Thinking last class oddness exposed, Aaliyah snapped from daze, somewhat panicked.

Claire calmer, light “mm”, outward cold unchanged, seemingly unaffected.

“Just received notice, due to your great contribution yesterday handling cultist attack incident, afternoon award ceremony. Special approval one class leave, return dorm prepare early.”

“Mm, understood.” *2

Not wanting class anyway, perfect reason, no refusal.

Stood thanked teacher, quickly packed, under crowd’s surprise, admiration, shock gazes, directly left classroom.
