Chapter 13 : It’s shaking!

The morning streets were quite lively.

The scent of butter wafted from the bakery, the clang-clang of hammering rang from the blacksmith, and every now and then adventurers in full gear hurried past.

Qianya had changed out of her maid outfit and into Luko’s clothes, walking uncomfortably down the street.

She really hadn’t wanted to wear this… but her current body was too petite, and only Luko’s clothes fit her (sad).

Still, the clothes weren’t the reason she felt awkward.

“Why are you following me too?” Qianya frowned at the tall elf walking beside her.

Iris was wearing a pale-green dress, her golden hair tied in a ponytail, looking every bit the noble young lady out for a stroll ( ).

“To supervise you and make sure you don’t run away.” Iris huffed, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

“That reason again…” Qianya rubbed her forehead and instinctively touched the vine mark on her waist.

The slave marks already had punishment modules built in. Even if Qianya tried to flee, all Iris had to do was snap her fingers…

And Qianya would be zapped until her eyes rolled back and drool spilled everywhere (つ﹏⊂).

So no matter how stupid she was, she wouldn’t do something that painful and pointless ( ).

Running away was definitely something to save for after the marks were removed.

“What about the café then?” Qianya asked.

“You don’t need to worry about that. Luko’s watching the place.” Iris replied casually.

“…Eh?”

Qianya froze. Luko was awake?

There hadn’t been a single sound this morning…

Whatever, that wasn’t important.

Time to find a job (◦`~´◦)

Before coming out, Qianya had been full of confidence.

But once she was actually on the street, she realized things weren’t that simple.

She was no longer the sturdy young man Yaxi had been—she was now a delicate girl.

Most same-day labor jobs were completely beyond her…

Worse, that hateful Flo had reset all her magic to zero. Qianya couldn’t cast a single spell now QAQ.

Even the tavern hiring servers turned her down, politely saying “You’re too cute, you’d get harassed by customers.”

In short, she couldn’t do skilled work, and she couldn’t do manual labor either (sad).

The sun climbed higher. Sweat beaded on Qianya’s forehead, and panic grew in her heart.

She looked down at her cute, pale little hands.

Back when she was Yaxi, even if she wasn’t super strong, she could at least swing a sword and carry luggage. But now, as a girl, what could these hands even do…

“What do I do (≧﹏≦)” Qianya squatted by the roadside, at a complete loss.

Iris stood beside her, looked down at the pitiful sight, and shook her head.

“As expected, just a little flutterbug.”

“You— just you wait (`Δ´)”

Actually, Qianya still had one final trump card!

Even with all her current limitations, there was one job she could do no matter what body she had—no barriers to entry!

Delivery ( )

Soon, Qianya and Iris arrived at a small shop with a sign that read “Doggy Pizza.”

“I remember they hire delivery riders and pay daily.” Qianya said, arms crossed.

She had eaten their pizza before. The taste wasn’t great, but it was cheap and filling ( ).

So they had tons of orders.

Customers placed orders through magic pigeons, and riders just had to load the pizzas onto a dragon cart and deliver them.

“This is the one! I’m going to talk to the boss.” Qianya dashed inside.

“Oh…?” Iris frowned, glancing at the counter.

The owner was slumped over the counter doing accounts. He was a beastkin with floppy, furry dog ears and looked a bit listless.

Honestly, Iris didn’t like the atmosphere here… it felt kind of grimy.

Still, the place seemed popular with teenagers, especially those who came from remote villages to make it in the capital, or students from poorer regions who had passed magic exams to enter prestigious academies.

The general consensus seemed to be: as long as it’s cheap and fills you up, who cares about fancy dragon carts ( ).

Well, Iris didn’t get it (ー`´ー)

Qianya talked with the boss for a bit.

The boss pulled out a contract. Qianya read it over and signed neatly.

The boss smiled in satisfaction, grabbed a hat with a little dog design from behind the counter, and handed it to her.

Qianya took the hat and happily put it on. The dog-ear decorations flopped down on both sides of her cheeks, making her look extra adorable.

Then she took the delivery slip from the boss and walked out.

“Phew… done~” Qianya stood in front of Iris, hands on hips, chest puffed out a little proudly.

“You actually became a delivery girl… but can you ride a ground dragon? Their delivery uses dragon carts.” Iris asked.

“Of course I can o(´^`)o” Qianya pouted.

Back when she was Yaxi, she often rented dragon carts to save time and was pretty skilled.

Iris: “Where’s the cart?”

Qianya: “Boss said it’s in the back.”

They went to the rear courtyard together and indeed found a small dragon cart with a brown ground dragon tied beside it.

The dragon looked very docile, dozing on the ground. When it saw Qianya approach, it only lifted its head briefly before going back to sleep.

“…Why does it feel kinda like Zero?”

For once, Qianya and Iris thought the exact same thing ( )

♡♡♡

“Hya, hya!”

Qianya climbed into the driver’s seat and skillfully untied the reins.

“Hold on tight, we’re leaving!” Qianya called back to Iris.

Iris sat in the passenger compartment at the back. Besides her, the compartment was stacked with pizza boxes for delivery.

“You… sure you can ride this?” Iris was still a bit nervous.

“Don’t worry! I rode ground dragons all the time before!” Qianya said, gently patting the dragon’s neck.

Qianya: “Giddyup (`Δ´)”

The ground dragon slowly stood, swished its tail, and walked toward the courtyard exit.

At first it went slowly, but once they reached the wide street, the dragon seemed to wake up, picking up speed. The cart started bouncing.

“Oh ho ho, this is the feeling (ˊ˘ˋ*)”

Qianya gripped the reins tightly, trying to keep balance.

But soon… she felt a strange jiggling at her chest.

“…Huh?”

Because of the bumpy ride, the two little buns on her chest were bouncing up and down. Through the thin fabric, the sensation was incredibly obvious.

“Mm-eh? They’re… they’re shaking Σ( ° △ °|||)︴”

Qianya’s cheeks instantly turned red.

She instinctively wanted to cover her chest, but both hands were on the reins—she couldn’t let go.

“…Hm?”

Iris had been enjoying the scenery from the back, but her gaze accidentally landed on Qianya and froze the moment she saw the arcs bouncing at Qianya’s chest.

“Not bad at all. I underestimated you.” Iris appraised Qianya’s two little buns.

“Don’t look (〃﹏〃)!”

And so, Qianya set off on the dragon cart, chest jiggling the whole way (sobs)
