Chapter 10: It’s unfair, she wants a duel!
Kanzaki Sumire rolled her eyes at Jakui Rinrincho, then let her gaze drift back to Someya Sara, who was sprawled softly on the sofa like a frightened, dumb little bunny that looked way too easy to bully.
…Never mind.
Kanzaki Sumire stared at those wet, glistening eyes and sighed inwardly.
She’s blind, after all.
She really couldn’t bring herself to hit her.
“What’s wrong?” Jakui Rinrincho’s blood-red eyes flashed with amusement. Seeing Kanzaki Sumire hesitate, she let out a soft laugh, as if genuinely confused. “Changed your mind?”
Kanzaki Sumire shrugged. “I’m not bored enough to bully someone like her.”
(Though she did want to see her cry.)
(But… she’s blind.)
Hearing that, Jakui Rinrincho said nothing more. She simply walked over to Someya Sara, bent down, and half-crouched in front of her.
Someya Sara had just started to feel relieved and was about to scramble up from the floor when Jakui Rinrincho pressed a hand to the back of her neck again.
The girl instantly froze, not daring to move.
QAQ.
Unfair!
So unfair!
Jakui Rinrincho wanted to punish her…
But why bring backup?!
That’s cheating!
This should be a fair duel!
…
Jakui Rinrincho’s palm met smooth, delicate skin. Out of interest, she pinched lightly. Seeing Someya Sara too scared to even twitch—like a kitten pinned by the scruff—her narrow peach-blossom eyes narrowed with a mix of tenderness and coldness. She smiled faintly.
“Sorry about this. It’s our first time personally handling something like this. But your place really is poor and rundown; you don’t look like you have any money. So, little blind miss—what do you think we should do?”
“We did come all this way. Can’t just leave empty-handed, can we?”
Her voice was slightly husky, seemingly helpless, yet magnetic and pleasant. But the tone was unmistakably cold—different from the one she’d used during the day. And because she was so close, Someya Sara could smell her scent—cold and moon-like.
Still…
Kanzaki Sumire didn’t seem to want to hurt her.
Someya Sara quietly celebrated this small mercy.
Compared to both of them beating her up, only Jakui Rinrincho doing it was… well, still bad, but at least Kanzaki Sumire was just an innocent victim of collateral damage. She could totally just watch from the sidelines.
“I… I really don’t have any money…”
Even though she knew exactly why they were here, Someya Sara could only pretend ignorance. She bit her lip, fingers twisting together, voice trembling with grievance. “Y-you saw… I’m blind, I don’t have a job, I live entirely off Tsukiyo… please let me go…”
Her voice was so soft it could squeeze out water, lashes fluttering as if silently begging.
Anyone who saw her would think: Beast! Let go of that girl and let me do it!
“Rinrincho, hey!”
Kanzaki Sumire folded her arms and leaned against the doorframe, looking impatient to leave. “If you actually do something to this blind girl here, even if we grew up together, I’m gonna lose all respect for you.”
Jakui Rinrincho acted as if she hadn’t heard. She let Someya Sara tremble under her hand for a while longer before finally releasing her. She watched quietly as the girl scrambled up from the floor in a panic, fumbling blindly on the sofa for ages before finding the direction to stand—only to nearly fall flat on her face again.
Weak, helpless, and pathetic.
A complete idiot.
Jakui Rinrincho’s eyes lit up with vivid amusement. Still smiling, she reached out and caught the girl. It wasn’t out of pity—it was pure malicious teasing.
Because the next second, she pushed Someya Sara back down onto the sofa and pressed a fingertip to the girl’s damp, flushed lips—lips that parted slightly, revealing just a glimpse of white teeth and a pink tongue.
Someya Sara had no idea what she was planning and tilted her head slightly, “forcefully” moving the finger to her dimple instead.
To Jakui Rinrincho, the girl’s feeble resistance was no different from a kitten or puppy nuzzling her ankle—zero threat, only the pleasure of petting a small animal.
“Don’t you think it’s fun?”
Jakui Rinrincho gazed at Someya Sara’s flushed, struggling cheeks. Without looking up, she rubbed the girl’s lips again and laughed. “She’s terrified out of her mind but doesn’t even have the courage to push me away. This feeling of complete control… isn’t it fun?”
Someya Sara: …
Hey!!
Who says I don’t have the courage?!
You’re just too strong—one hand and I can’t get up…
I hugged your arm with everything I had and still couldn’t pull it away!
I was trying so hard!!
You damn gorilla, monster strength!!!
Kanzaki Sumire tugged at the corner of her mouth, looked away in disapproval, and spoke with a trace of irritation she couldn’t quite hide. “You think it’s fun to bully a blind girl who can’t see anything? Rinrincho, your tastes are getting lamer by the day.”
“What exactly are you trying to do?” She straightened up, nails tapping her bracelets with a crisp clink. “This is boring.”
She really didn’t get it…
Jakui Rinrincho must have investigated the wrong person, right?
Someya Sara… that was the name.
She couldn’t see anything—just a little blind girl. How could she possibly be the one stirring up trouble online?
She’d read the original post. It reeked of pretentious literary whining and chuunibyou nonsense—calling them scum who only used money to harass idol trainees. Please. No way this girl wrote that. No way those words could come out of her mouth.
Right now, Someya Sara—terrified and confused—was also dying to ask:
What the hell does Jakui Rinrincho want?!
If she just wanted to beat her up, she could’ve gone full iron-fist merciless combo, crippled her, then finished with a Noxian guillotine and called it a day!
There was no need to pin her to the sofa like a cat toying with a mouse, watching her flail helplessly because she was blind.
What was even fun about this?!
Someya Sara didn’t understand.
“Sumire, how is it not fun?”
Jakui Rinrincho suddenly chuckled. Her warm breath brushed Someya Sara’s earlobe, instantly dyeing the small, pale ear crimson.
“Look.” She continued, clearly enjoying herself. “She’s scared to death but doesn’t even dare push me away. This feeling of having her completely in my grasp… isn’t it fun?”
Someya Sara: …
Hey!!!
Who said I didn’t dare?!
You’re the one with gorilla strength!
You damn ape, monster woman!
