As a priest who was reborn as a baby dragon, I refuse to raise the child

Chapter 30: No! Let go! Release! Do you hear me!?

“Earlier, my body really did have some issues,” Rest openly admitted, even carrying a hint of pride as he spoke, “but now, it’s already been cured.”

“Indeed… Not a single truthful word comes out of you demons’ mouths!”

She couldn’t stay with them any longer. She had to leave this place. The thought made Rose turn around, ready to flee from this place filled with lies and danger.

However, an invisible pressure suddenly descended. Rose felt the air around her instantly freeze. Her body became unbearably heavy; even lifting a single finger was extremely difficult. She could only watch helplessly as that cunning man, wearing a lazy yet dangerous smile, easily stretched out his arms and irresistibly pulled her entire body into his embrace.

“Let go of me! You bastard, let me go!” Rose trembled with rage. While she could still move, she used her weak, powerless little fists to desperately pound against his solid chest. Her short legs kicked hard, but it was completely useless.

Rose discovered that this frail body of hers actually wanted to cry at the drop of a hat!

Humiliation and anger made her eyes burn, but she absolutely refused to shed any little pearls in Rest’s arms.

Rose placed her hands on his chest, concentrating her strength, determined to release an even stronger surge of magic power to seal this bastard’s abilities once again.

“How about it?” Rest’s low chuckle sounded beside her ear, carrying scorching breath. He extended the tip of his tongue and licked his own lips with lingering satisfaction, as if savoring the process of refining the holy light earlier.

“Still thinking about electrocuting me? Go ahead and try. That little current of yours is nothing more than the most wonderful massage to me.” After successfully stripping away that wisp of holiness, his internal magic power had greatly increased. Rose’s electricity no longer posed any real threat to him.

“Don’t worry, my dear.” One of Rest’s hands firmly imprisoned Rose’s slender waist, while the other traced her tense back with an almost gentle force. His voice lowered, carrying a hint of comfort, yet it sounded more like a beast whispering beside its prey’s ear. “You should know, there are some dirty little things hidden inside your body right now. Don’t be afraid. I’ll help you clean them up thoroughly.”

“No! Let go! Release me! Do you hear me!” Rose struggled violently in his arms, shame and anger intertwining. “The biggest dirty thing in my body is that demon core you stuffed in! Take it out right now! I don’t want it!”

But the moment Rose spoke, what answered her was Rest’s sudden, scorching, and domineering kiss that pressed down heavily.

“Mmm—!” Rose’s protest was blocked in her throat.

Again…

Humiliating memories instantly flooded her mind. On the same day, she had been violated by this demon in the exact same way twice.

Yet deep inside her body came waves of treacherous trembling. That demon core rooted deep in her heart seemed to have smelled the approach of the same-origin power. It greedily and uncontrollably absorbed the pure magic power Rest was pouring in, emitting a hungry buzz.

It thirsted for this power. Her body also thirsted for this power. A panic-inducing sense of attachment and comfort originating from the depths of her bloodline was madly dismantling her will to resist.

In that entangled instant, Rest’s powerful magic power surged precisely into Rose’s body. Her body suddenly stiffened. She clearly felt that the force which had been hindering the demon core’s spread—the remaining holy power inside her—let out a silent wail under the wash of Rest’s pure and domineering dark power, then completely collapsed.

At that moment, she felt her heart give a violent throb. Immediately afterward, an unprecedented surge of magic power was instantly liberated from the demon core.

Rest had no intention of letting go. He seemed to be maintaining and controlling this powerful force in his own way.

“Ah—!” Rose couldn’t help letting out a short, sharp cry. It was not from pain, but from the overwhelming impact of power suddenly filling her to the extreme.

With a boom, silver light burst forth. Even the illusion magic Rest had cast on her to hide her dragon form was instantly shattered by this erupting force.

A pair of enormous wings covered in pure silver scales and shimmering with star-like luster suddenly spread open behind her, stirring up a strong gust of wind. A similarly silver-glowing, powerful and slender dragon tail also broke free from its restraints, uncontrollably lashing and slapping against the ground with dull thuds.

But it wasn’t over yet.

Rose felt this power had not yet calmed. It was like a ferocious beast that had been imprisoned for too long and finally broke free, rampaging wildly inside her petite body. The powerful force madly washed through her entire body, slamming against her bones, as if it wanted to completely tear open and reshape this shell that had been confining it.

Her body felt as if it were being torn apart. Her bones emitted faint yet terrifying cracking sounds. The silver light beneath her skin grew brighter and brighter, as if it would burst out at any moment.

Faced with this violent scene that could destroy ordinary beings, Rest showed not the slightest panic. Instead, his handsome face revealed an almost fanatical excitement and anticipation. His dark red eyes burned with scorching light, as though he were admiring the most magnificent masterpiece in the world.

As a pure-blooded ancient dragon, he understood better than anyone what this violent omen meant. This was the true awakening of bloodline—the precursor to the dragon body completing its final transformation.

He lowered his head, gently pressing his forehead against Rose’s trembling temple that was being impacted by the force. His voice was low and hoarse, carrying an almost bewitching magic as it penetrated the fragments of Priest Beres’ memories churning in Rose’s consciousness due to the power surge:

Forget… Forget those weak memories of the human shell that bound you…

Forget those meaningless hatred and fear…

Open your eyes and feel the power surging from the proud dragon bloodline…

Then…

The corner of Rest’s mouth curved into an incomparably proud, wild smile. His pupils reflected the increasingly brilliant silver light surrounding Rose, as if he could already see the dragon shadow soaring through the nine heavens.

—Go discover it. Go embrace it. As a true dragon…

That unparalleled joy capable of tearing apart the firmament and looking down upon all living beings!

With a boom, a deep yet extremely penetrating roar suddenly erupted from deep inside her petite body. Immediately afterward, a blinding silver-white light, as if breaking free from all restraints, instantly gushed out from every pore and every scale. The light rapidly expanded from tiny glowing points and in an instant completely swallowed the entire dilapidated little wooden hut.

Her figure underwent a massive change. Her slender limbs became long and powerful, covered in even more dazzling silver scales. Her small head lifted high. The tender contours of a young dragon were replaced by majestic, fluid lines. In the night sky, enormous silver wings unfurled.

She painfully opened her eyes. Her silver vertical pupils shimmered with misty yet sharp light in the dim night. The sea of trees that had once been there now looked as if a shrink button had been pressed. Every sight was completely within her view.
