Chapter 1: Qingmei cannot defeat the one who descended from the sky
At Yuncheng University, Lin Xiaoxiao received a call from his girlfriend, Wang Shanshan, saying she had something to discuss with him.
Wang Shanshan was his childhood friend, and they had grown up together. Today marked their one-year anniversary as a couple, and Lin Xiaoxiao had already prepared a gift for her.
Hearing that she had something to talk about, Lin Xiaoxiao naturally assumed she remembered this special day.
Looking at himself in the mirror, Lin Xiaoxiao felt a twinge of insecurity. The boy staring back had fair skin and a petite frame, smaller than most college students.
His face, though delicate with large eyes, didn’t look masculine at all—it was more like a woman’s!
But Lin Xiaoxiao was undeniably a man, complete with all the parts.
Because of his appearance and neutral voice, friends often teased him for being feminine, while those who disliked him called him a sissy.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Lin Xiaoxiao took a deep breath and picked up the gift he had prepared. No matter what others said, as long as Shanshan liked him, that was enough.
Soon, Lin Xiaoxiao arrived at the small grove where he and Wang Shanshan had agreed to meet, but he waited for a long time, and she didn’t show up.
Just as he reached for his phone to call her, a familiar voice reached his ears.
In that moment, Lin Xiaoxiao froze, a bad feeling creeping into his heart.
When he walked into the grove and saw two people kissing, his pupils shrank, and he stood there, stunned.
“What… what are you doing?!”
Lin Xiaoxiao’s voice trembled as he demanded an answer.
Only then did Wang Shanshan notice him, hastily pulling away from the boy beside her.
“Xiaoxiao, why are you here so fast…”
Lin Xiaoxiao’s eyes blazed with anger as he pointed at the boy.
“Who is he?”
The situation was painfully clear—he’d been blindsided by betrayal—but Lin Xiaoxiao couldn’t accept the reality.
Wang Shanshan looked at Lin Xiaoxiao, whose expression was like he wanted to devour someone, and guilt flashed in her eyes. But, resolute in her decision, she spoke up.
“Xiaoxiao, since you’ve seen it, I’ll be straight with you.”
“I called you here today to break up. We’ve been together for almost a year, and I’ve realized we’re not right for each other. Let’s just be friends like before.”
Her words pierced Lin Xiaoxiao’s ears. Looking at the boy standing by, dressed in designer clothes, he gritted his teeth.
“Hah, ‘not right for each other’? You mean I don’t have money, don’t you, Shanshan? I never thought you were like this!”
Wang Shanshan was momentarily speechless but dropped all pretense. She grabbed the gift box from Lin Xiaoxiao’s hands and opened it.
“Yes, I like money—something you can’t give me! Look at this gift you bought; it’s probably not even worth two hundred yuan, right?”
“And your grandma in the hospital, costing a fortune every day—it’s a bottomless pit. So what makes you think you can give me happiness?”
With that, Wang Shanshan threw the necklace from the gift box onto the ground, took the boy’s arm, and said affectionately.
“Zhou Yang, let’s go.”
Zhou Yang looked at Lin Xiaoxiao mockingly, patting his shoulder as he passed by, speaking in a victor’s tone.
“Lin Xiaoxiao, right? A piece of advice: don’t date if you’re broke.”
With that, he wrapped his arm around Wang Shanshan, ready to leave. As they walked away, Wang Shanshan didn’t look back.
“Lin Xiaoxiao, besides the money, I’m also tired of people saying I’m dating a sissy…”
Lin Xiaoxiao stood there, numb, unaware of how long he remained as rain began to pour from the sky.
Raindrops fell on him, and though it was summer, Lin Xiaoxiao felt only bone-chilling cold.
Wang Shanshan’s words echoed in his mind.
“I like money—something you can’t give me!”
“What makes you think you can give me happiness?”
“I’m tired of people saying I’m dating a sissy…”
…
Lin Xiaoxiao’s fists clenched tightly, only to loosen powerlessly.
That guy wasn’t entirely wrong. In this world, what’s love without money?
Lin Xiaoxiao gave a self-deprecating laugh, walking back through the rain, soaked to the bone by the time he reached his dorm.
The dorm was empty. Lin Xiaoxiao numbly took a shower, staring at himself in the mirror. Never had he hated his face as much as he did now.
If only the heavens would give him a chance to start over—he didn’t want to live with the label of a sissy anymore…
But Lin Xiaoxiao knew that was impossible. He climbed into bed, drifting into sleep amid swirling thoughts.
Lin Xiaoxiao was woken by the sound of his alarm.
Groggily opening his eyes, he realized he’d slept for over two hours. He needed to deliver food to his grandma.
But as he got up, something felt off about his body. His chest felt… heavier? And something below seemed… missing.
Thinking he must still be half-asleep, Lin Xiaoxiao rubbed his chest, only to snap fully awake.
“This… this isn’t right, is it?”
He hurriedly checked below. It was gone—really gone!
Lin Xiaoxiao didn’t dare open his eyes, hoping it was just a hallucination…
“Ah, where’s my…?!”
In a panic, Lin Xiaoxiao stumbled out of bed, falling flat on his face, but he ignored the pain and scrambled to the bathroom.
In the mirror, he saw a delicate face—his face, but with softer lines!
Still in disbelief, Lin Xiaoxiao stripped off his clothes, checking every part of his body, before collapsing to the floor, muttering in despair.
“No way, this can’t be real, it’s absolutely not real…”
He had turned into a woman!
Sure, he didn’t want to be called a sissy, but he didn’t want to become a woman either!
Staring at his chest, Lin Xiaoxiao hesitated, reached out to touch it, but quickly pulled back.
A person shouldn’t… at least, they shouldn’t…
Just then, his phone rang.
Lin Xiaoxiao hurriedly put his clothes back on, grabbed the phone from his bed, and saw it was a call from his grandma’s doctor. A bad feeling surged in his heart.
“Hello, Dr. Zhang?”
“Xiaoxiao, you need to come to the hospital right away. Your grandma’s condition has worsened.”
Lin Xiaoxiao’s heart sank. Without thinking, he replied.
“I’m coming right now!”
He threw on shoes and ran out, his mind in turmoil. His parents had died in a car accident, leaving him and his grandma to depend on each other.
But now, was heaven taking away his only remaining family?
