Chapter 11: Too Many Mushrooms, and Then It Exploded! Author: xinclaer U

It took Chen Xing roughly six hours to devour Bang-Bang Jumpa clean.

Ripper swarms scoured every nook of the “cosmic junk.”

Onyx patrolled, gathering data.

System analysis concluded: she could not replicate the tech!

Ork “I fink it works” energy made it irrational.

Propulsion? Coal-fired!

The “Bumpy Drive” (crude warp engine) roared, spewed waste.

How it tore reality for warp jumps—only mekboyz knew.

Sigh…

Chen Xing decided: better snag an Imperial warp drive.

Eldar webway? Nope.

Ancient network everywhere—might pop under Emperor’s throne.

Bad!

But as “food,” Ork bio-mass was premium.

Muscle packed dense spore-protein.

Tyranid digestion efficiently converted genes.

Bio-acids neutralized spores—no parasitism.

Hassle-free.

Such abundant bio-mass littered the system.

Chen Xing smacked lips—bold idea.

Three weeks later, asteroid belt.

An Ork rok fortress drifted silently.

Junk-miners clawed ore, debris everywhere.

Lookout spotted Bang-Bang Jumpa approaching.

Opened port without thought—welcomed the privateer.

Tragedy ensued.

Tyranids poured from Bang-Bang Jumpa, flooding spaceport!

Snots screamed, fled—rippers tore them.

Boyz resisted—futile.

Bosses with big shootas arrived, briefly turned tide.

WAAAGH!

But soon—zoanthrope “Mind Devour” dumbed them.

Bug swarm consumed.

Four-hour massacre.

Rok boss diced by warriors—“Come to bowl” achieved.

Mass bio-mass.

Chen Xing floated in virtual pod, wiggling pale feet, smug.

Orks so gullible—slight trick, surprise slaughter.

But not mindless devourer.

Knew when to quit.

Cleaned battlefield, vanished.

Weeks followed, repeated harvest on Ork roks.

Bio-mass piled—evolution neared.

Then—BOOM!

Agonizing pain.

Sweat beaded.

Mind-probe: starboard hull breached!

No enemies—only asteroids.

Attack from where?

[Host, spores! Ork spores breeding inside. Explosion from them.]

“What?!”

Chen Xing’s voice cracked.

Ork spores proliferated in her hull—fungi indeed!

Mind-linked synaptic net, searched hive knowledge ocean.

(Devour, devour, devour all!)

Hive mind whispered assimilation.

Chen Xing suppressed ravenous urge, stayed lucid.

Avoided hive mind unless necessary—it craved her.

Found it!

Another hive fleet’s bloody lesson: “Orks edible, but cook first!”

Post-devour disasters:
1. Gene pollution—undigested DNA remade Tyranids (mushroom shells).
2. Spore erosion—proliferated in bio-ships, explosions.
3. Battlefield chaos—Ork laughter disrupted swarm, destroyed synapses.

Chen Xing patted tender butt, relieved.

Unknowingly parasitized—20m crater.

Late discovery: floating mega-mushroom.

Damn, underestimated Orks!

But Tyranids developed “proper Ork cuisine.”

First: bio-isolation—“anti-fungal mucus coating” halted spore growth.

Costly bio-mass, but applied.

Mucus coated hull—Ork spores withered.

Next: Ork-specific “DNA digestase.”

Injected all units, especially rippers.

Flooded bio-mass sacs and pools—shredded remnant Ork DNA.

Finally: battlefield tactics—“Venomthrope” priority.

“Acid spore clouds” cooked Ork corpses before eating.

Operations consumed one-third bio-mass.

Chen Xing despaired.

Kicked legs, floated, went limp.

System light-ball orbited, encouraging.

“System bro, no more mushrooms, boo hoo~~”

[Host, minor setback. Cheer up.]

“Wah wah, my bio-mass, my bio-mass… boo hoo~~”

White-haired loli spun, wailing.

System struggled to coax.

But Orks’ biology too broken—even Tyranids got tummy aches.

System mostly Ork-held.

For bio-mass, target fringe human outposts and colonies.
