Chapter 13: A Pool of Water
Under the dim, warm light, the atmosphere was charged with intimacy.
Zhou Ting gazed at the girl’s dazed eyes and slightly parted lips, utterly captivating.
He chuckled softly.
“This compensation? I’m very satisfied.”
“Xiaoxiao, don’t cut your hair. I like it long.”
Lin Xiaoxiao, still not fully lucid, shook her head reluctantly.
“N-no, I don’t want to…”
Zhou Ting didn’t mind her refusal. The night was long—he could make her yield slowly.
Seeing his smug look, Lin Xiaoxiao, in a burst of羞愤, bit his shoulder.
But this only sparked his competitive streak, and he went all out.
Soon, her defenses crumbled. Looking at the limp, exhausted girl, Zhou Ting asked leisurely, “Still biting?”
Panting heavily, her face a mix of pain and something else, her red-rimmed eyes pleaded with a hint of a sob.
“N-no more biting…”
Zhou Ting pressed on.
“And cutting your hair?”
“No, I won’t cut it! I won’t!”
But Zhou Ting was set on teasing this little enchantress, showing no mercy.
After a while, eyeing the disheveled maid outfit on her, he scooped her up.
“Time to change venues. My room.”
Lin Xiaoxiao’s face paled.
“No, please… I’ll die.”
This man was a demon—still so vigorous after all that.
Struggling, she squirmed…
But her body was too weak, her efforts no different from flirting in Zhou Ting’s eyes.
As they left the room, he chuckled at her persistent resistance.
“Quiet down. Zhou Yang’s room is right there. You don’t want him seeing us like this, right?”
Lin Xiaoxiao froze, instantly silencing herself, barely daring to breathe, terrified of being caught.
But Zhou Ting, amused by her caution, let his hands wander mischievously.
“Don’t… don’t do that…”
He laughed lightly.
“Xiaoxiao, you weren’t obedient just now. How about this: cooperate, and I’ll carry you inside. Deal?”
It took her a few seconds to grasp his meaning, and she shook her head in羞愤.
“N-no way… let me go…”
This was too humiliating—she wouldn’t give in!
But reality proved her resolve didn’t matter.
She couldn’t stop his advances. Resisting only prolonged the羞耻; cooperating might shorten it…
Realizing this, though her face showed defiance, her body complied.
With a soft whimper, Zhou Ting carried her into his room.
But for Lin Xiaoxiao, the night was far from over…
*
The next day, sunlight spilled into the room.
Lin Xiaoxiao woke groggily, still dazed, but last night’s memories flooded back, jolting her awake.
Seeing the empty bed beside her, fear flickered in her eyes.
That man was terrifying—not human! Who had that kind of stamina?
She began to entertain thoughts of escape, or she’d really die.
Standing to head to the bathroom, her body felt like it had been run over, forcing her to push through the discomfort.
Seeing the red marks littering her body, her resolve hardened.
“Jerk!”
She’d begged, even abandoned her dignity, but he still wouldn’t stop!
At least the system task was done. The reward was useless—she wasn’t nearsighted—but she’d gotten clothes, a wig, and makeup for free. The concealer was handy now.
Without covering the marks on her neck, she couldn’t face anyone.
Peeking out like a thief, she saw no sign of Zhou Yang and slipped back to her room to change.
The messy sheets made her flush.
Leaving her room, Zhou Yang emerged, yawning. He started to greet her but slipped, crashing to the floor.
“Damn… why’s there a puddle? It’s sticky…”
Grumbling, he looked puzzled.
Lin Xiaoxiao, thinking of something, flushed with羞耻 and guilt, quickly helping him up.
“You okay?”
Zhou Yang waved it off.
“Fine, fine. Clean that up—it made me fall first thing in the morning.”
She nodded hurriedly, already planning to do so.
She made breakfast, and with Zhou Ting at work, it was just her and Zhou Yang.
At the table, Zhou Yang noticed her lack of appetite and frowned.
“Hey, Lin Xiaoxiao, what’s with the spacing out?”
