Chapter 15: I will fulfill my promise

Pride lightly flicked her spider lily baton, and a crimson vine whip studded with menacing spikes emerged from its stamen.

Swish!

With a playful smile, Pride swung the whip, slowly approaching Jasmine.

“Jasmine, see that? This is the person you’re protecting—a pockmarked, ugly woman.” Pride grabbed Jasmine’s face, forcing her to look at the woman below.

Pride stepped back, a pang of guilt in her heart.

She raised her right hand high and swiftly brought the whip down.

The whip cracked through the air with a sonic boom!

Crack!

Jasmine shut her eyes as the whip struck her thigh, its sharp spikes tearing through the fabric.

Bloodstains appeared in the crowd’s view.

Jasmine looked battered, but she was puzzled.

The pain of torn flesh was real, but compared to life-and-death battles with pollution entities, this was bearable for a magical girl.

Did the witch hold back?

The thought was quickly dismissed. Witches were vile beings, devoid of kindness—how could she hold back?

Pride glanced at the wound on Jasmine’s thigh, her brow slightly furrowing.

“Even after completely unloading force at the moment of contact, the sharp spikes still cut Jasmine’s flesh this deeply?” Pride murmured softly.

For the first time, she realized the lethality of her weapon.

Even with no force, the whip’s weight alone caused such damage.

Had she not held back, Jasmine’s leg would’ve been severed outright.

Sorry, Jasmine.

To make you see the vermin hiding among them, this pain is your tuition.

“Anyone else?”

“Punch Rose.”

Pride walked to Rose, throwing a punch that unleashed a shockwave of air.

Rose’s eyes widened in fear, pain radiating from her abdomen.

But she keenly sensed the fist hadn’t touched her!

It was different from the earlier punch!

It felt like the wind from the punch hit her abdomen. If that was all, Rose could handle it.

Did the witch hold back?

Like Jasmine, Rose dismissed the thought quickly.

“Friendly reminder: magical girls are resilient. With punishments like these, they could last three days and nights. Can you go three days without food or water?”

The pace was too slow; Pride wanted to speed things up. She didn’t have time to waste here.

Bai Feifei was sobbing uncontrollably in the crowd, unable to find her sister.

Pride needed to resolve this quickly to return to her sister!

“How about slashing them?”

“Or cut the arteries at their wrists?”

“I say, just chop off their hands and feet—quicker.”

More devilish suggestions emerged, and Pride was delighted to hear the crowd’s raw, honest voices.

She decided to let a few people go early.

“I’ve heard your suggestions. In appreciation of your honesty, I’ll let a few of you leave as a token of my response.”

Pride gently waved her spider lily, and several people, including Bai Feifei, rose into the air and were moved out of the amusement park.

Seeing some escape early, the crowd grew frenzied.

Crueller words poured from their mouths, but what surprised Pride most was someone suggesting to kill the magical girls outright.

“Um… can we just kill them?” a timid boy raised his hand, asking.

He looked frail, likely a middle or elementary school student.

“Great idea!” Pride clapped. “Kill them, and you can all leave immediately, right?”

“Right.”

“Yes! Exactly!”

“Kill them, and we can leave now!”

“Kill the magical girls!”

The crowd, as if bewitched, shouted to kill the magical girls.

But Pride hadn’t controlled anyone—she’d only slightly amplified their latent malice.

Her blood-red eyes coldly swept over the shouting crowd.

Only a few looked conflicted, unable to bear becoming devils.

“Hear that? These are the people you protect, the ones you’d sacrifice yourself for.”

“Are they even human? Aren’t they demons?”

Pride’s words echoed around Jasmine and Rose, affecting Rose less.

She was selfish by nature, not blindly altruistic.

But Jasmine was different. Like Iris, she was a selfless do-gooder, willing to sacrifice for others.

Jasmine’s heart ached, but she was a magical girl!

Protecting the weak was her duty, even if they… wanted her dead…

She…

Jasmine hesitated.

“Are you really willing to die for them?” Pride removed the bud from Jasmine’s mouth.

It was slick with liquid, slightly viscous.

Pride brought the bud to her nose, inhaling lightly.

“Even a magical girl’s bodily fluids carry a fragrance? Smells like jasmine?”

Pride’s action disgusted Rose, who forcefully pushed the bud out with her tongue.

The bud splat against Pride’s face, leaving a streak of clear liquid.

“Damn witch, don’t try to sway Jasmine—she’ll never give in!”

As she spoke, the vines binding her tightened, wrapping around her mouth.

Pride’s fingertip touched the spot where the bud hit, watching Rose’s face flush with anger.

A playful urge to tease her surfaced.

This was a magical girl—better bully her now, or the chance might not come again.

“Little Rose, you seem quite defiant?”

Pride pinched Rose’s face, her nose brushing Rose’s cheek, inhaling a captivating rose scent.

“Little Rose, has anyone told you how fragrant you are?”

Rose’s eyes widened, practically shooting flames.

Pride’s intimate actions made her feel utterly repulsed.

Pop~

Before everyone’s eyes, Pride kissed Rose!

“Mmph!”

Rose struggled fiercely, heedless of the pain from the tightening vines.

“Little Rose, I know you’re angry, but what can you do?”

Pride smirked, relishing Rose’s furious, helpless expression.

She felt immense joy, a happiness she’d never experienced.

Was this the thrill of bullying a magical girl?

Absolutely delightful!

Pride clasped her hands to her chest, taking a deep breath, her cheeks flushing with pleasure.

“Alright, the theater ends here for today.”

“I’ll keep my promise—kill them, and let you all go.”
