Chapter 19: Disciplinary Committee?
At the exact moment Tao Lian was lost in her fantasies, a familiar shout rang out nearby:
“Peach! Over here, over here!”
“Hm?”
Following the voice, Tao Lian spotted Ningliu and looked surprised.
“Little Ningliu, what are you doing here? Picking up the new dorm mate too?” Tao Lian asked.
“Ara, I could’ve escorted her straight to our dorm, but nooo—they insisted the dorm leader do it. School rules are such a hassle.”
Ningliu hands on hips, wagging finger at Tao Lian: “And she’s not just our new dorm mate—she’s our old friend and my gaming buddy!”
“Gaming buddy!?” Tao Lian shocked.
Wait—the first to awaken was little Ningliu?
Who? Bent her so fast!?
“Hey hey, don’t use weird terms…”
Then another familiar voice hit Tao Lian’s ears.
That soft, listless loli tone—could it be—
Tao Lian whipped around.
Dongyang uniform—sailor top, pleated skirt, black thigh-high stockings—Su Tang pushing luggage.
Tao Lian stared, rubbed eyes, confirmed real—pounced like a beast:
“LITTLE—SU—TANG—”
“Mmmph—breathing, breathing—”
Su Tang force-buried in Tao Lian’s chest—warm waves squeezing, air vanishing.
After a bit, Tao Lian released.
“Haa… haa… nearly died…”
“Ahaha… sorry little Su Tang, didn’t expect reunion here—too excited…”
Tao Lian scratched head, sheepish, then realized: “Wait—the transfer to our dorm… is little Su Tang?”
“Mm, yeah…”
“LITTLE—SU—TANG—”
“Again!?”
Another storm hug.
This one tighter—guilt-laden, self-atoning.
Tao Lian had fantasized other girls; seeing Su Tang sparked “betrayal” vibes.
Su Tang knelt gasping, bones creaking.
“This girl… even more enthusiastic.”
Su Tang thought, missing hug nuance.
Assumed Tao Lian: closer = more affectionate.
“So little Su Tang, Ningliu said gaming buddy, meaning…” Tao Lian probed.
“This buddy.” Su Tang held controller.
“Ningliu’s gamepad?”
“Yep! Su Tang and I battled 300 rounds—every match thrilling, neck-and-neck!”
Ningliu hyped: “I was this close to winning each time! So close! But as rival, Su Tang’s the only one I respect!”
Truth: Su Tang’s first play—”Fist King.”
Basic attacks crushed Ningliu; pity-made her hold back. Even sandbagging—accidental last-second reversals, wins.
Score control humiliating, but Ningliu saw equals—Su Tang inexplicably earned respect.
Funnier: beating Ningliu triggered Victory Mark—marked her.
Fruit Pie: two down, forever unable to beat Su Tang.
“But anyway…”
Tao Lian puzzled: “Little Su Tang’s civilian—why our dorm?”
Magical girls dorm separate from normies.
Sure, crushes and sneak visits happened undercover—but Su Tang first official civilian in magical girl dorm.
“School decision—must be reason?”
Ningliu thought: “Maybe after Mei’s daily reports, school learned Su Tang kidnapped, saved by Fruit Pie—want us to watch her?”
“Oh~ makes sense.”
“Tsk, noob Peach—can’t figure simple stuff?”
“Yes yes, little Ningliu smartest~”
“Hmph, obviously?”
Tao Lian: pro kid-coaxer.
“School decision”…
Evil Doctor infiltrated high ranks? Su Tang thought.
They headed to dorm.
No flying on campus—corridor linked dorms to buildings. Great views: multiple clusters, including gate.
“So many people.”
Su Tang noticed gate crowd—school reps to emergency Association meet.
Scan: familiar blue hair—Mei.
“Mei sis going too?” Su Tang finger on glass, pointing, curious.
“Of course—little Mei’s council president, student rep.”
Tao Lian: “Little Su Tang day one—didn’t research school? Don’t know structure?”
“Uh… family arranged transfer—I don’t know much.” Su Tang stammered.
“Family—explains.”
Tao Lian nodded thoughtfully, explained: “Simply: Dongyang leaders—school reps and student reps. Student reps: council and discipline committee.”
“School final say; council all students, proposals; discipline supervises, rewards/punishes.”
Tao Lian pointed beside Mei: “Those by little Mei—discipline reps.”
“They’re… discipline?”
Su Tang noticed three groups.
Council/regular students: sailor, pleats, armbands.
School reps: suited adults.
Rest: Lolita long dresses, parasols—like noble ladies.
Discipline committee?
Style clash!?!
