Chapter 19: The Privileges of Little Girls.
“Fuck, are all demons lesbians?”
Chloe stomped her foot, desperately hoping it would shake off the goosebumps covering her body.
Who could understand her current helplessness?
After regaining her original memories, she could no longer look at Rita—the big sister who seemed to have secretly fallen for her—with sisterly eyes. Yet because her strength was far too weak, she had no way to resist the intimate behavior of this mysterious red-haired woman holding her face and gnawing on it.
She had desperately hoped her loyal maid would appear in time to rescue her. Instead, when Elda finally arrived in the afternoon, she ended up being chased and cornered by those two wretched, perverted big-breasted women in the bathroom.
“Sigh… this isn’t what gender-bender benefits are supposed to be like.”
Recalling the scene of being groped all over by those two women, Chloe felt that the joy of living had diminished greatly. Shouldn’t becoming a girl mean she got to do whatever she wanted to other girls? Why was she the one being messed with instead?
She couldn’t figure it out.
After concluding that all demons were lesbians, the slightly calmer Chloe herself felt the conclusion was a bit too extreme.
However, she could still confirm that long-lived species—including demons—definitely had extremely rich XP.
Setting aside what she had personally seen and heard, just thinking about it made her realize how twisted beings who could live for hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of years could become from repression.
Not to mention the offspring born and raised by these generally repressed individuals.
Proof of this statement?
Well, Rita’s existence was proof enough.
The Flame Demon princess who usually acted prim and proper and claimed to be pure-hearted had, after being kissed on the cheek by her thirteen-year-old self, become eager to devour her completely.
If it were any other demon, without the slight protection Yalith had given her, Chloe would be worried whether she could even get out of bed and walk.
Chloe twisted her neck, looking at the light at the end of the dark alley, and let out a quiet sigh:
“She said she would take me to find the Hero today. What is this now? She gnawed on me all over, then patted her butt and left, forcing me to buy my own late-night snack. This isn’t how the life of a demon princess is supposed to be.”
Unable to hold back her complaints, Chloe wanted to frown. But the night was deep, and the cool breeze blew into the alley, passing through her thin dress. The chilly draft made the hand she raised toward her brows immediately change direction. She subconsciously covered her lower body and couldn’t help shivering.
“Strange. I’ve already been a girl for five years, yet I still feel uncomfortable. I should have kept wearing those safety shorts.”
This useless body—Yalith even claimed it had her bloodline, yet it didn’t even have basic cold resistance. Could it be that the old woman had fooled her by using leftover tomato juice as blood?
Chloe, who had nearly angered herself into fainting, repeatedly encouraged herself in her heart several times before she barely adapted to the feeling of being forced up a cold mountain.
Pulling herself together, she rubbed her face and forced a bright smile. The demon princess—who was extremely worried about the future yet still dared to go out without wearing anything underneath—quickly walked out of the alley.
No matter what, at this moment, whether she could adapt to the feeling of going out in a thin summer dress or not, she had to adapt. Otherwise, even if her plan went smoothly, if that woman Yalith—who might be secretly monitoring her—noticed she wasn’t used to her current body, she would be in for it.
That woman would definitely be eager to help her “find her girl state,” and the effect would definitely be surprisingly good. But who knew whether she would end up being forced to give birth to a few children in the end?
Just thinking about Yalith saying she could make her give birth made Chloe’s face uncontrollably turn red. She couldn’t help clamping her legs together, then forcefully shook her head and muttered somewhat despairingly:
“No, this isn’t a game, nor is it a novel or doujinshi manga. Get your mind out of there.”
Chloe would rather be done by a girl using her hands or tail or something similar than have something like her lost little bird invade her undeveloped territory.
After finally shaking off those strange thoughts in her mind, Chloe gritted her teeth, clenched her fists, and said hatefully:
“Chloe, oh Chloe, you are a person with great ambitions, great goals, and great pursuits. You are still young. You absolutely cannot think about meaningless things like female lust. Now that you’ve finally returned to human society, what you should do is find some very human-tasting food to fill your stomach.”
The most human-tasting food…
Naturally, she had to throw the option of drinking blood to the side first. As for eating meat—that scary thing—Chloe didn’t even consider it.
Although blood demons mainly fed on blood, and in the past few years Chloe had basically used blood as her three meals, after gaining her original human memories and the vague impression of what happened last night, she now found it very difficult to include blood in her menu.
“Good thing Yalith restored my allowance. Otherwise, if I had to go suck someone’s blood in this human city, getting discovered would be quite troublesome.”
Touching her bulging money pouch, Chloe thought randomly as she merged into the crowd.
Contrary to what Yalith had described, five years had not made the nights of Tirikast City differ much from what she remembered.
Bright, brilliant, prosperous—this free city that did not belong to any nation had once been the place she dreamed of living permanently after coming to this world.
But after experiencing that series of events following her expulsion from the party, when she returned to this city with a changed appearance, Chloe had given up on that idea.
The residence in Star River Lane could already be considered her home here. Her dream had long become reality.
However, compared to the feeling of a dream coming true, the social system where being kicked out of an adventurer party was enough to make an outstanding mage end up on the streets left her unable to hold much goodwill toward this city.
“Speaking of which, do long-lived species also become homeless the moment they lose their jobs?”
Strolling through the bustling streets and watching the giggling elf girls from time to time, Chloe couldn’t help having this question.
But soon, she stopped thinking about such matters.
The lively street market and the fragrant aroma of food swirling around it left no room for her to waste energy on things so far removed from herself. As the Demon King’s daughter, she was now separated from her past self by a sadly thick barrier, having the same gap as Xun Ge and Runtu.
At this point, there was no need to force herself to empathize with that man from the past. It was now impossible for her to experience something like being kicked out of a party and ending up on the streets again.
“Sigh, Clay, actually it wasn’t the Hero who harmed you. It was this world, it was fate that harmed you.”
Chloe muttered self-mockingly with a somewhat dazed look.
Thinking about it, when she had transmigrated to this world, no one had asked if she agreed.
When she transmigrated as a human, no one had asked if she wanted to be human.
No one had even asked if she wanted to become a cute girl.
It was all fate’s fault!
Harboring grief and indignation, Chloe stood on her tiptoes, hooked her finger at the owner of a snack stall, then pointed randomly across the stall. Using the special privilege of a little girl, she gave the stall owner a sweet smile:
“This, that, that one, and all of these—give me one of each. Extra spicy, no sugar frosting. As for the complimentary starry sky pie, pack it for me to take back and feed to the dog… ah, as dessert.”
And then… and then…
Chloe successfully enjoyed the special privilege of a little girl. On the way back, she was kidnapped by human traffickers hiding in a small alley.
