Chapter 25: Clues

The energy tide erupted, and within just one hour, many cities were overrun by the zombie horde.

The survivors discovered that these zombies were no longer scattered, but rather an organized and disciplined assault on the defensive line. Under such overwhelming numerical superiority, even the Source Energy users were powerless to resist.

Later, some people ventured deeper into the horde of zombies, only to discover in the rear that the zombies had developed consciousness. These zombies had names and possessed various unique abilities, calling themselves kings.

In an instant, the whole world was plunged into chaos.

However, in the Weiqing Three Cities region, there was a solid barrier that blocked the tide of corpses. In front of the defensive array composed of many huge stone pillars, any corpses that came into contact with or crossed it would be turned into corpse water by the earth’s evil energy that was drawn in.

The people inside used this advantage to launch a counterattack, and the number of corpses attacking this defensive line decreased until they were able to bypass it.

All of this is based on the premise that Zhang Yujun did not make a move.

The problems don’t stop with the energy tides.

She remained still, preparing to be in the best possible condition to deal with any reinforcements that might arrive from the temple.

The Modu Galaxy.

A massive shadow swept across a planet as the Andean temple’s flagship emerged from the void.

Inside the cabin, Andes was dressed in patterned knight’s armor, with a red cloak on his back and two rapiers at his waist.

He sat with his head down and eyes closed in the seat in the center of the ship, exuding a sharp aura that made people afraid to look him in the eye.

Suddenly, he slowly opened his eyes and glanced at the unfamiliar star field around him.

Where are we?

“My lord, this is the edge of the Modu system. After passing six more temples, we will reach the location where the sixth celestial ring was last transmitted,” the Royal Guard Knight replied.

Andes tapped the heavy armrest of the seat. “Too slow.”

The guard knight instantly broke out in a cold sweat. “My lord, this is already the fastest speed we can go.”

Andes glanced at him and shook his head, saying, “The Rainbow Elixir is an important project entrusted to me by the Council, concerning the future of the Temple. Right now, the Council is undergoing a leadership transition, a crucial time. I absolutely cannot afford any mistakes on my end. Do you understand?”

When the Royal Guard Knights heard that this matter was related to the election of council members, they understood why Andes insisted on handling it personally.

If the Holy Knights of the Andes were like regional lords and generals guarding their territory, then the council was the true power center that determined the future direction of the temple.

Under pressure from the parliament, even someone as averse to worldly affairs as Andes had to express his opinion.

This is something that everyone present could easily understand.

“My lord, there is another way. If we put the main ship into its limit, and disregard the wear and tear, we can reduce the journey time by half.”

The knights exchanged ideas and gave their final advice.

This means that ships completely abandon their defensive and offensive capabilities in order to increase speed.

This approach is extremely risky, and they would never consider it unless under immense pressure.

To this, Andes simply said, “Let’s do it that way.”

Upon hearing this, the Royal Guard Knights did not hesitate any longer and immediately joined the others in putting the ship into extreme mode. A flash of blood-red light appeared on the purplish-black hull, followed by transparent ripples that shook the surrounding space.

Layers of tangible ripples spread out clearly, as if the space was being stretched to its limit, with the temple’s main ship at its center.

The next moment, a flash of light appeared, and the main ship disappeared from its original spot. In another star field, its figure suddenly reappeared, and then disappeared in the same way.

In just a few quick jumps, the distance to where Tianhuan lost contact had already been greatly reduced.

Meanwhile, in another direction of the Modu Galaxy.

In the dark star field, a tall Taoist priest dressed in a seven-colored robe suddenly appeared, with a seven-colored peacock appearing behind him in a proud posture.

If someone were standing next to it, they would be astonished to discover that this bird is as large as a celestial star, and it frequently flaps its wings to shatter meteorites and shooting stars that streak across the surrounding area.

Qi Ming gazed at the countless stars that resembled grains of sand, his expression sorrowful. He sighed, “If we were to search every single place, my junior brother would probably have long since turned into a skeleton in a tomb.”

“Leaving aside the fate of the Qingming Palace Master, I can’t even explain myself to Zhang Wudao.” Just thinking about the various consequences he would face if such a situation occurred, Qi Ming couldn’t help but feel that the future was bleak.

“Junior brother, you must hold on!” Qi Ming gritted his teeth. On the Seven-Colored Peacock Dharma Image, a peacock tail feather materialized, seemingly shimmering with thousands of colors, dazzling and captivating.

“This one alone is the result of my painstaking efforts over the past hundred years.” Qi Ming sighed softly, but having made his decision, he did not hesitate for a moment. He lightly tapped the feather with his index finger, chanted an incantation, and a beam of light appeared in front of him to guide him.

“Found it!”

Before long, Qi Ming’s spirits lifted, and he looked at a certain spot. He was using his own merits to forcibly anchor Zhang Yujun’s position. Doing so would greatly deplete his essence, but as long as the matter was accomplished, he believed that the sect would not treat him unfairly.

“But this aura…”

Qi Ming’s expression turned slightly subtle. He was looking for his junior brother, but the information returned from the merit was different. “Could it be that my Holy Son junior brother is actually a junior sister?”

Upon realizing this, he chuckled to himself. What did this matter have to do with him? He only needed to bring the person back. If he investigated further, who knew when a powerful expert from the Upper Realm would strike, and he wouldn’t even know how he died.

“Is someone trying to predict my future?”

At the top of the Black Tower, Zhang Yujun suddenly felt something, and a thoughtful look flashed in her cool eyes.

This was not something she sensed on her own initiative, but rather a reminder from her second spiritual treasure, the Taiqing Jade Talisman.

This item was the last thing her mother, Qingmiaozi, left behind. Zhang Qizheng had told her that the Taiqing Jade Talisman was not just a spiritual treasure, but only of a spiritual treasure grade due to certain restrictions. He instructed her to cultivate and refine it carefully.

But over the years, the only ability that the Taiqing Jade Talisman has demonstrated is to purify magical power.

Today, she sensed it again. The Taiqing Jade Talisman could sense and calculate heavenly secrets. If her cultivation and magical power were sufficient, she could not only cut it off directly, but also deduce the identity and location of the diviner by following this sense.

If combined with appropriate Taoist techniques, this will likely be a deadly move in the future.

However, the immediate priority is to determine who is conducting the reading.

After much thought, Zhang Yujun felt there was only one possibility: that his fellow disciples sent by the Immortal Sect had found him. This feeling was not malicious; it was simply searching for his location and revealed a sense of urgency.

“Judging by the time, it’s about time.”

Zhang Yujun was well aware of the importance of her position. If her elder brother Zhang Wudao was the pillar of this generation of the aristocratic family, then she, who had shown amazing talent since childhood, was destined to take over Zhang Wudao’s position.

All members of the same lineage were very concerned about this.

His disappearance could be covered up for a short time, but as time went on, various pressures would follow, and Blazing Flame would surely find him as soon as possible.

With a clearer understanding, Zhang Yujun’s tense mood relaxed a bit.

Just then, she heard a roar that shook the mountains and the earth. Turning her eyes, she saw a small mountain-sized corpse king appearing outside the pillar of the Broken Mountain Heavenly Gang Formation, amidst the long-dormant tide of corpses.

The zombies in front of it parted to both sides like a tide, revealing several figures of different shapes.

Without exception, they all displayed the same aura as the Mountain Corpse King.

Perhaps because Wei Qingcheng’s performance was too special, at this moment, along with the Mountain Corpse King himself, a total of six Corpse Kings turned their attention here.

Everyone who noticed this scene felt their hands and feet go cold and their hearts race.

The six figures, like a thick black cloud, pressed down on Wei Qingcheng.
