Chapter 27: The End of Unreasonable Malice (1)

I wonder what they were talking about in private for so long.

Was this a conversation I shouldn’t have been privy to in the first place?

I don’t understand.

I feel like I’m being ostracized at school, which I don’t like.

Still, I wait patiently. I am good at enduring.

Quietly, doing nothing. Blankly.

Eventually, the door will open.

And so, I wait.

Perhaps it was due to my patience, but the door opens.

“Ah, Hime. You can come in.”

At the teacher’s words, I nod and head beyond the door.

There, unlike before, is Seia-san with a calm expression.

“Hime, you said? I apologize. I had to temporarily exclude you because of a conversation that you shouldn’t have heard.”

I didn’t expect an apology. Especially not from someone with a high position like T-Party.

Trinity itself isn’t great, but T-Party seems like a good place.

“No, I think Seia-san was considering me.”

“If you think so, then I am grateful.”

There are many reasons why Trinity is one of the three major schools, but I think one of those reasons is T-Party.

T-Party is one of the highest groups in Trinity. Isn’t Trinity succeeding because of the excellent students who make up T-Party?

Mika-san is a traitor to Trinity?

Still, Mika-san has a good heart.

I don’t care about such things. Traitor or whatever.

“Then, I’d like to hear about your dream. What exactly is that dream?”

It’s more of a memory than a dream, but…

No. It’s a dream.

Yes, it’s just a nightmare.

I recall the nightmare and slowly tell Seia-san.

About that nightmare, from start to finish.

“…….”

Seia-san closes her eyes tightly and ponders something deeply.

I watch Seia-san like that and wait.

Then, as if she has finished thinking, Seia-san opens her eyes.

“That dream… I cannot be certain, but it is ominous. Yes, it is quite ominous. Perhaps your hatred is also manifested from that memory.”

“Hatred?”

“Yes, the hatred you hold.”

Hatred? I don’t understand. Do I hold hatred? Towards whom?

I have so many questions I want to ask. But Seia-san doesn’t seem to know the details either, so I stay quiet.

“I will investigate that separately. In the meantime, Ms. Hime, if you see any other memories in your dreams, please let me know.”

“I’ll investigate it at Schale as well.”

“Thank you, Sensei.”

As expected, it’s difficult to do anything with just one dream. If so, having another dream might be the solution, but the only thing I encounter in my dreams is that nightmare.

This is truly troublesome.

“Thank you for your time.”

“The thanks are not necessary. If anything, I am the one who is grateful.”

Why would Seia-san be grateful to me? I don’t understand. I met Seia-san for the first time today.

Even if I think about it carefully, we have no connection.

“Mika-san has been smiling a lot lately. She said she made a friend.”

Ah.

Mika-san, you mean?

Come to think of it, that’s true. Mika-san and Seia-san are both from T-Party.

It’s possible that Mika-san told Seia-san about me.

Mika-san is quite talkative.

The teacher and I bid farewell to Seia-san and leave the building. Since Seia-san said she would investigate, I can trust and wait for her.

Moreover, since the teacher is helping as well, the results will come out even faster.

Of course, there’s a chance that no results will come out, but let’s think positively.

Negative thoughts are of no use.

“Hime, are you going back to the dorm now?”

“Yes. There’s nothing else to do.”

I don’t have anything that could be called a hobby. So, when school is over, including supplementary classes, I go straight back to the dorm.

Either I rest there or go to sleep immediately; those are my only two options.

In other words, I have a lot of free time.

“Hime, I want to ask you something for a moment, is that okay?”

I have a lot of time. So, a short conversation with the teacher is of course fine.

“Yes. What are you curious about?”

“Well, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to meet one of my students.”

“Yes?”

Suddenly?

“Actually, I thought that you might know that child…”

Ah. Is that so?

If that’s the case, then I’m fine. I might get information about my memories.

“Yes, that’s fine.”

“Then, I’ll coordinate the time to meet that child and let you know.”

“Yes.”

An unexpected gain.

I didn’t expect such a harvest from somewhere, which is quite good.

I might recover all my memories in less than a month.

I smile and bid farewell to the teacher leaving this place.

Indeed, things seem to be going smoothly with the teacher.

Is this why adults are needed for children?

As the teacher disappears from my view, I also move my feet. It’s late today, so I should go back.

In fact, even if it’s late, it’s not late for other students, but it’s late for me.

So, I hurry my steps.

If I’m not careful, I might be late tomorrow as well.

I enter the dorm building. I pass the familiar stairs and hallway and head to my room.

There are still graffiti on the door. I think I should erase it because it looks bad.

Well, it’s fine. Even if I erase it, it will probably reappear, so I’ll leave it as it is.

I grab the doorknob. Then, as I’m about to open the door, a sense of foreboding comes over me.

What is this?

Why am I suddenly feeling this way?

This is my home, right?

Yes. This is my home. There’s no reason to feel ominous.

I ignore the sense of foreboding welling up in my chest and open the door.

Then, I see something that shouldn’t be there.

“Heh heh, hello.”

It is a black presence. Not just on the outside, but surely the heart as well is painted black.

“It’s been a long time. Ah, but you won’t remember anyway.”

An original discomfort creeps in, and I aim my gun. Then, as if he doesn’t intend to fight, he raises both hands.

“I have no intention of harming you. If I did such a thing in Kivotos where the ‘Sensei’ is, I would meet a terrible end.”

I can tell instinctively. That the words are sincere.

But for some reason, I feel that I must keep my gun aimed.

“On the contrary, I came to help you.”

He says with an unpleasant smile.

“Osiris.”
