Chapter 3: Become a Lady? Screw You!

As expected, she got spanked!

The blonde, pointy-eared girl huddled in the blankets, blushing furiously as she clutched her backside.

So humiliating!
Two lifetimes as a proud man, standing tall between heaven and earth, and now she’d been spanked!

Clearly, clearly…

“My mother never even hit me!
You’re awful!”

Perhaps due to her transformed body, Aphrosia’s speech had taken on a distinctly feminine tone.

Astreya gave an awkward smile, toying with a glowing stone at her chest.
‘What’s this? So hard to guess~ Definitely not a recording stone, though~’

“Ladies of the Astreya family don’t use foul language~”

“Who cares!
Change me back, you heartless goddess!”

“Little Aphrosia, that’s not how you speak to your elders~”

“You, who ignored my mother, don’t get to call yourself my elder!”

Aphrosia’s anger toward the Goddess of Radiance seemed to materialize, as if it could swallow the figure before her.

But Astreya’s demeanor suggested she’d made up her mind.
Instead of the anger Aphrosia expected, the goddess’s eyes softened like melting spring water, rippling with warmth.
A loving glow fell upon the struggling girl in the blankets.

She reached out a delicate hand, resting it on the anxious girl’s head.

A “spring breeze” gently tousled Aphrosia’s messy hair, soothing her soul.

“Don’t touch me!” But the girl wasn’t having it.

“Aphrosia, you went through all that effort, cursing for ten days just to meet me, and now you act like this?
I don’t like coy little girls who play hard to get.”

“Pfft!
I was thrilled to see you, but turning me into this?
I’m not happy!”

Aphrosia puffed out her cheeks, glaring at her ancestor… no, this wretched goddess!

Like a fierce little beast, she bared her fangs to assert her dominance.

Then, conflicted, she lowered her head and softly said, “Sorry…”

An inexplicable urge made her want to get closer to the goddess, yet she’d spoken hurtful words.

At the same time, she felt deep shame.
She could tell the goddess saw through all her plans—she knew everything…

Yes, her initial goal was to meet the goddess this way, as Plan B for infiltrating the church.

But it was a gamble.

First, the Goddess of Radiance hadn’t issued an oracle or meddled in mortal affairs for ages.
Aphrosia wasn’t sure this would even work.

Second, she wasn’t certain the goddess would help after being insulted for ten days.
No sane being would help someone who’d cursed them that long, right?

Why curse?
If praying worked, she’d have met the goddess countless times in her eleven years…

Besides, her less-than-reliable mother, the former saintess, once told her, “Little Flo, if you ever need to meet the goddess, cursing works better than pleading~”

Now, the goddess’s actions moved her, and she felt guilty.

Her current defiance stemmed from the humiliation of her body’s change and the pain of losing little Flo!

And her longing for her mother—Aphrosia’s mind conjured two figures, one golden, one silver, walking away from her, growing ever distant.

“You’re being duplicitous, little one.
This is about little Edith, isn’t it?”

Aphrosia nodded.

“My mother and the others…”

Nervous thoughts surged like a tide.
For twelve years, this was her only chance to learn about them.
But what if it was bad news?
She’d always believed no news was good news, but now, faced with the moment, she needed to know.

“The elven girl, I don’t know—she and I have no connection.
But Edith… her life essence is still there~”

“Then!”

Her long-dead eyes sparked with life.
Aphrosia sat up excitedly, forgetting to cover her snow-white skin.

But a splash of cold water doused her enthusiasm.

“Don’t get your hopes up.
My connection with Edith is blocked—I can’t find her.”

Seeing Aphrosia sink back into despair, the goddess smiled playfully.
“I can help you find her, but…”

She trailed off, her point already clear.

“What?
Tell me, please, Goddess Astreya!
I’ll do anything!”

“I want you to become a true lady of the Astreya family.
Etiquette, knowledge, magic, virtue—all must be perfected.
Right now, only your knowledge passes muster.”

To hell with that!
A seven-foot man becoming a lady?
Utterly disgraceful!

“Little Edith is waving to you~”

Should she really agree?
Argh! Honor or her mother—what’s there to hesitate about?

“I refuse!”

Wait, Aphrosia, that’s your beloved mother!
Falling for her sake is so touching!

“Eh?
Didn’t expect little Aphrosia to be so cold-blooded~”

“First, I’m half-elf.
Second, even if I refuse, you’ll help me anyway—she’s your mortal envoy.”

“You’re that certain?”

“Yes, because you’re the most benevolent Goddess of Radiance.”

Her words dripped with moral manipulation, but the goddess seemed to eat it up… or not!

“Then I’ll have to force you~”
The goddess’s voice was like a warm summer breeze, yet it carried the chill of winter.

“Fck!
You never planned to respect my wishes!”

A radiant blonde goddess held a ruler, pacing before a girl who looked strikingly similar.

Morning light streamed through a half-open window, illuminating the room.
The girl stood obediently in the corner, balancing white plates on her head.
Her golden hair cascaded like a waterfall, its tips tinged with the dawn’s faint pink.
Her azure eyes shimmered with unshed tears, lending a misty hue to their starry depths.
She kept her head bowed, afraid to move lest the plates fall.

The light danced on her skin, making it almost translucent, as if a touch could ripple it.
Her ornate white dress hugged a body sculpted like an artist’s masterpiece.
Her chest wasn’t large but within normal bounds—fleshed where it should be, slender where it needed to be.
White thigh-high stockings clung to her soft legs, their flawless curves without a single flaw.
She was a vision straight from a painting.

But her heart burned with resentment.

“I’ll come every night~
Oh, but to not disturb your sleep, I’ll visit in your dreams.
I’m the most caring elder, after all~”

Aphrosia was speechless, furious, and helplessly enraged…

“By the way, if you want to return to Flo, clasp the necklace at your throat tightly and get my permission.
To become Aphrosia again, you’ll need to pray devoutly to me.
Aren’t I super thoughtful?”
