Chapter 30: The End of Unreasonable Malice (4)
The sun rises.
Today is my last day.
Yes.
My last day at Trinity.
Trinity was quite good, but it was also a very unpleasant place. There are definitely good people like Mika-san.
The supplementary lesson club members are also good people.
But there are too many vipers.
The fact that there’s a class system to begin with is a problem. Dividing and discriminating against students creates many problems.
I’ll have to tell Nagisa-san and the other T-Party members later.
To get rid of the publicly spread class system for sure.
I put on my uniform. I also wear the necklace Mika-san gave me. Today, I’m wearing a hair accessory.
The cross accessory went well with me. Isn’t it because I’m so beautiful?
After finishing all the preparations, I go in front of the mirror. Then, spin around.
Yes. Perfect.
Shall we have an enjoyable last day?
I gather my bag and head outside. As I walk along the road, eyes gather around me.
Without wings, I stand out unlike other students.
The presence of wings or not determines their position.
Oh, that girl is a transfer student.
And most of the students who have recently transferred to Trinity are students from Arius.
So, if you don’t have wings, you get bullied.
I am, and the other Arius students who have transferred here, are affected.
I will sacrifice myself for them.
Well, it’s not a sacrifice to begin with. It’s for the purpose of taking an opportunity to find my memories, and also to give those vipers a taste of their own medicine.
Rather than sacrifice, it can be said to be by the way.
By me taking an opportunity, the Arius students here will be able to regain their freedom and happiness.
It will be great news for them.
Hmm…. I have a thought that they might rise up as a result of me taking the opportunity.
But I don’t think so. They can enjoy a comfortable life in Trinity now, so there’s no need for them to rise up.
“Traitor.”
As soon as I enter the classroom, a fist slams into my face.
I fall backwards. My bag absorbs the impact, so I didn’t get too hurt, but my head is dizzy from the shock.
“Oh, I punched the door and you just happened to walk in? Sorry~”
It’s quite annoying, but it’s okay. They are going to pay the price.
I grin and look at the student in front of me.
Then she laughs as if she is dumbfounded.
Then, she steps on my stomach and pushes down. I don’t feel much pain with just this. I’ve indirectly experienced what real pain is like in my dreams.
To put it bluntly, if the student in front of me faced even a little bit of that pain, she would scream and roll on the floor.
The image comes to mind, and I chuckle.
Then the student in front of me gets even more indignant and hits me. She grabs my head and throws me out into the hallway. Oh. Isn’t this too directly hitting me?
There are eyes watching in the hallway.
From the students transferred from Arius, to various students. Not only are there vipers in Trinity, but there are also students who can’t ignore such an unfair scene and pass by.
“What are you doing right now?”
The hand that was hitting me is grabbed by someone.
Is it Azusa?
Yes, that’s right. Azusa is a child with a kind side, even if she’s quirky. She wouldn’t just watch her friend being beaten like this.
“Don’t meddle in other people’s business. What do you know?”
The student who slapped Azusa’s hand glares at Azusa. The atmosphere is like a fight is about to break out. The group of students who were beating me surround Azusa.
Isn’t this a little dangerous?
I don’t care if I get hit, but Azusa is in trouble.
In such a tense situation.
“Oh my, everyone, would you look at this? The picture came out really well!”
I turn my head as I hear a familiar voice. There is a welcome face there.
Hanako is smiling brightly and waving her phone. A video is on the screen. It seems to have captured the assault scene.
“You guys… how dare you do this to my friend!”
Then Koharu holds a gun with a very angry face. Isn’t it a bit inappropriate to take out a gun in the hallway, even if it’s Koharu.
This is not even Gehenna.
“…….”
Oh. Why is Hifumi holding a gun too?
Is she serious?
And what is that scary face? Hifumi, can you make that kind of expression too?
“I want to take you all to the Justice Research Club right away… but I think treatment is first.”
Hanako smiles at me. Something is scary. Hanako, was she originally this scary?
Because of the clear evidence, the students who were harassing me go back to the classroom. The incident seems to be over for now.
“Hime!”
Then, the supplementary lesson club members run to me. I’m really fine, but they are all very worried.
They look me over and fuss over me.
“I’m fine. I don’t die even if I die. So I’m planning to seize the opportunity soon.”
So I tell them that death is an opportunity to reassure them.
Then Hanako’s expression becomes distorted.
“Hime-chan, excuse me for a moment.”
Then she takes me somewhere, leaving the other supplementary lesson club members behind.
Hanako, who took me to a space where no one was, looks at me with a serious face.
So I look at Hanako too.
Then Hanako’s mouth opens.
“Hime-chan, is that not right?”
What do you mean?
“I don’t understand.”
“That… giving up on life or something.”
Oh, is that it? Of course not. I will not give up on my life. What I’m doing before is seizing an opportunity, not giving up.
“Even if you don’t know how I think of death, it’s an opportunity for me. It’s not giving up. It’s a stepping stone to move forward.”
Yes.
Death is an opportunity for me. With this death, I’m taking a step towards the future.
But for some reason, Hanako hugs me and tells me that I don’t have to, and that they will help me.
I think there’s a misunderstanding.
“Hanako, I think there’s a misunderstanding. I don’t die even if I die.”
“Hime-chan, it’s okay. Trust us. We’ll help you.”
Oh. Really.
I knew it would be like this.
Why won’t they believe me?
I think I should just die quickly and show them that I’m alive.
Then they’ll believe that I don’t die.
I understand Hanako’s thoughts too. Since death is absolute in Kivotos, they can’t believe it even if I say this.
If I’m going to be treated like this, it’s better to die without saying anything.
And so I am hugged by Hanako for a long time and patted.
I feel like I’ve become a mental patient, which makes me feel uncomfortable.
“Rather than that, why did Hanako come to my class? With all the supplementary lesson club members?”
“Hime-chan, every time you do supplementary lessons, I can’t help but notice the state of your bag, right?
Even when I asked why your bag was in such a state, you kept changing the subject or giving evasive answers like you fell down the stairs.”
Come to think of it, that’s right. Since I couldn’t not bring my bag to the supplementary lessons, and took the repaired bag, I kept getting suspicious.
Then you all followed me, taking the day to do so?
“That’s stalking.”
“We just went to a friend’s class and just happened to see a friend getting beaten, and helped~”
“…….”
I sigh deeply and shake my head. If Hanako doesn’t believe me, the chances of the other supplementary lesson club members believing me are very low.
I feel a headache because it doesn’t seem to be going as planned.
I tell Hanako just in case.
“I resurrect when I die.”
“Hime-chan.”
Hanako looks at me with her lips curled up. But her smile doesn’t look like a smile. It’s very scary.
“You keep saying death or whatever… Promise me.”
“…A promise?”
“Yes, that you will not speak of death from now on.”
As expected, she doesn’t believe me.
I sigh deeply.
“…Yes.”
What should I do?
I’m really in trouble.
