Chapter 32: I have clothes to wear😋

The night was as dark as ink, the moon high in the sky.

Xie Qiyang pushed her movement technique to its limit, a blurred silver shadow weaving through the dim forest.

Behind her, Wang Ling’er’s venomous curses and the snake’s destructive rampage had long faded, swallowed by dead silence.

She was temporarily safe, but completely lost. Then again, she’d been wandering aimlessly anyway.

After an unknown time, the dense ancient forest opened up.

But the sight before her sank her heart.

Like before, an endless expanse of scorched ruins stretched under the moonlight.

Broken walls and rubble jutted into the night sky like the bones of a giant beast.

The ground was blanketed in thick ash, barren of life, steeped in deathly stillness. The air carried an ancient, desolate aura of decay.

No sign of opportunity here—not even a hint of life.

“Ugh, what a cursed place,” Xie Qiyang muttered, suppressing her unease, wandering aimlessly across the ruins.

Her boots crunched on the ash, the sound jarringly loud in the absolute silence.

She froze, her pupils contracting.

Not far ahead, on a relatively intact broken wall, a breathtaking figure appeared out of nowhere.

A white-robed woman stood with her back to Xie Qiyang.

Moonlight poured over her like liquid silver, outlining her delicate, graceful silhouette. Her robes and hair fluttered silently in the night breeze. She looked like a celestial fairy descended to earth, yet in this eerie setting, she seemed less a fairy and more a ghost.

!! Xie Qiyang’s heart leaped to her throat.

In a perilous realm like this, any anomaly could be a deadly trap. A sword mark or even a careless spit from an ancient powerhouse could obliterate a mortal or cripple a cultivator.

Instinctively, she stepped back, cold sweat soaking her back.

Suppressing her shock, she bowed respectfully to the figure:

“Senior?”

Her voice echoed in the silent ruins, unanswered. The woman remained still, facing away, as if fused with the ancient ruins.

Something was very wrong.

Holding her breath, Xie Qiyang tapped into the sharp senses of her Lunar Sacred Body, carefully “observing” the figure.

It felt… lifeless, lacking the vitality of a living person! A chilling dread crept up her spine.

In this death-soaked ruin, how could such a vivid yet… inhuman presence exist?

Not human… then what? A remnant soul? A spirit? Or… a word that made her scalp tingle flashed in her mind—ghost?!

As if responding to her thoughts!

The still woman slowly turned.

Her face came into view.

Flawless skin, exquisite features, unearthly beauty. But what made Xie Qiyang’s soul tremble wasn’t her face—it was her eyes!

Clear, ethereal, with a detached, otherworldly gaze that overlooked all beings.

A restrained yet vast aura silently spread, confirming to Xie Qiyang—this was an unimaginable existence.

A powerhouse… definitely a powerhouse!

Xie Qiyang stiffened. At that moment, a wisp of moonlit mist appeared from nowhere, spreading silently.

The woman moved, stepping lightly through the void toward Xie Qiyang, her movements graceful, imbued with a hint of the Dao.

Move! Damn feet, move!

Xie Qiyang screamed inwardly, trying to retreat.

But her legs were rooted, heavy as mountains, unable to budge a toe.

She could only watch as the stunning yet terrifying figure drew closer.

A cool, silky touch brushed her.

A flawless jade hand gently took hers, ice-cold to the bone.

The moment the woman touched her—Buzz!

Radiant moonlight erupted from her.

Her figure turned transparent, blurring, then dissolved into countless glimmering star-dust, vanishing into the moonlight with the strange mist, as if she’d never existed.

Only a white robe, unsupported, drifted down, landing perfectly on Xie Qiyang’s frozen hand.

Cool and smooth to the touch, it carried an indescribable aura, as if steeped in moonlight and frost, just like the woman’s hand.

Xie Qiyang stood dazed, her mind chaotic, the woman’s inhuman eyes and the lingering cold touch vivid.

The ruins fell back into dead silence, only the wind’s wail passing through broken walls.

Time seemed to stretch endlessly, yet pass in a blink.

A chilling, spine-tingling thought hit her:

That woman…

Could she… be the dress itself?!

She stared at the cool, soft white robe in her hands.

What was this? A free cheat item? If it was a relic of a powerhouse, could she…

She stood frozen, unmoving for a long time.

Suppressing her surging emotions, she called the system.

A bold idea took root.

[Ding! Detecting item… analyzing…]

A cold, emotionless mechanical voice sounded in her mind.

[Analysis complete!]

“Mo Qingxian… fallen… possession form… one major realm higher?!” Xie Qiyang’s breathing grew heavy, her fear replaced by overwhelming joy.

Jackpot! She’d struck gold! Despite the limits—no memories—she’d gained a game-changing trump card.

‘Divine Treasury Realm… just wait!’ She gripped the cold robe tightly, gazing into the distance.

Where was Li Tianxing now? Should she keep risking it here for the legacy…

Forget it. Xie Qiyang sighed helplessly. With her hopeless sense of direction, she’d never find her way out without a guide.
