Chapter 33: Fitting.

The elegant white dress left by the mysterious woman rested quietly in Xie Qiyang’s hands.

She planned to test it out first. Since she wouldn’t inherit the woman’s memories, this was a chance to familiarize herself with it.

But she didn’t change immediately, instead scanning her surroundings warily. In this perilous realm, safety was a luxury—she didn’t want to be caught off guard while changing. She settled into a relatively hidden corner behind a broken wall.

Looking down at herself, the white knee-high stockings hugged her slender, graceful legs. In her past life, she could only gaze at such sights through a screen…

Now, she could look and touch freely, but these were her feet 😭 (sad).

She couldn’t do anything naughty, but others might try something with her.

Staring at the white dress, she hesitated. Maybe just put it on… For some reason, she felt shy about examining her own body.

It inexplicably brought a sense of shame and guilt.

Changing completely in this dangerous place felt too risky. She swiftly slipped the white dress over her existing clothes.

Hiss… the fabric… cool and silky, it sent a strange, refreshing sensation through her upon contact.

The dress was long enough, its hem grazing her ankles, giving her a slight sense of security.

Taking a deep breath, Xie Qiyang steeled herself for the crucial step.

She declared, “Revive, Mo Qingxian!”

Her consciousness sank into her mind, connecting with the cool white dress.

Buzz!

A chill swept through her, followed by dramatic changes in her body.

“Ugh!” She groaned, feeling her body stretch taller, her perspective widening.

Her silver hair visibly dulled, transforming into inky black at a visible speed!

“…So tight!”

The most jarring sensation was the intense constriction at her chest. The dress seemed alive, adjusting to accentuate her striking curves.

She stood instinctively. Under the moonlight, a tall, graceful figure replaced the former girl.

Her face lost some of its youthfulness, gaining a mature, aloof elegance, with a faint trace of Mo Qingxian’s indifference in her expression.

Below her slender waist were long, luminous legs, glowing enticingly in the moonlight.

“This… is what a higher realm feels like?” Xie Qiyang looked down at her larger, still jade-like hands in disbelief.

She could feel vast, ocean-like vitality surging through her.

Her blood roared like a dragon, each movement capable of stirring the heavens.

“Let’s try it!” A thrill surged within her.

Without complex techniques, she followed the body’s primal instincts, casually throwing a punch into the void.

Her delicate, snow-white fist unleashed—BOOM!!!

The air seemed to freeze, then was torn apart by an unstoppable force.

Visible white shockwaves roared forward like an angry dragon, divine light and seven-colored radiance swirling around the punch.

A piercing sonic boom thundered, shaking loose stones from the ruins!

“Hiss—!” Xie Qiyang gasped at her own punch’s power, an indescribable joy flooding her.

This Mo Qingxian was unfathomably strong, nearly invincible in her realm—a perfect trump card.

With this, she might have a better shot against Li Tianxing.

She didn’t buy his “acting” nonsense. The play was fake, but his intentions to take advantage of her were real, right?!

Done experimenting, she slowly removed the dress.

As light shimmered, her body shrank back to its original girlish form. The heavy burden at her chest faded, and she let out a long sigh of relief.

Phew… much lighter. This feels better…

She carefully stored the dress in her storage ring—not Jiang Ningshuang’s, as her original ring was destroyed in her escape, losing many treasures. This one was Li Tianxing’s, slipped onto her finger at some point.

After rummaging through the ring, Xie Qiyang sighed in relief, pulling out a more conservative, neatly tailored black dress.

“This is better… safer.” She quickly changed into it, reverting to the silver-haired, aloof girl.

This place wasn’t safe to linger. She decided to cover more ground to find a safer spot to rest.

The desolate, cold ruins were no place for peaceful sleep.

The night grew darker, the sky’s bright moon half-swallowed by rolling clouds, leaving only faint, pale light.

Ahead, gray-black mist had silently spread, slithering like a living thing among the ruins’ broken walls.

Xie Qiyang didn’t fear pure darkness—her Acquired Realm divine sense let her see clearly without light.

But the silence itself was the true enemy, amplifying every sound and the fear lurking within.

The wind’s wail through broken windows sounded like whispers from unknown entities.

Rustle…

Whoo—

Faint, omnipresent noises—either the wind’s prank or… something else.

“No time to waste!” She didn’t hesitate, her steps quickening from a jog to a sprint. Infusing spiritual energy into her legs, she took to the air, becoming a black streak skimming the ground.

The night deepened, her figure darting through the low sky, never pausing.

The scorched ruins fell behind, replaced by tall, twisted ancient trees.

Among them appeared ancient buildings, unlike any style she knew. Most were half-collapsed, but a few stood eerily intact.

Black stone walls loomed, twisted pillars stood firm, and heavy wooden doors with strange carvings nestled in shadows, silently watching the intruder.

Flying past these preserved structures, Xie Qiyang’s heart raced.

She felt something lurking behind those dark windows and doors—ready to reach out with a withered hand or open inhuman eyes!

Her divine sense swept over them, finding nothing, but the oppressive feeling clung to her, raising the hairs on her neck.

“Damn it, there’s nothing weird here, right?” She gritted her teeth and sped up.
