Chapter 36: Sister Wen Yin’s Punishment ③
At ten years old, Su Qi vividly remembered tumbling during a playful scuffle with his sister Su Lulu, scraping his knee bloody. While Lulu ran for a first-aid kit, Wen Yin-jie found him, scooping him onto her soft lap.
“Xiao Qi, it doesn’t hurt, you’re so strong. Let sister blow it better~~~” Her gentle coos, paired with head pats and encouraging words, erased his pain despite his usual fear of it. That day’s warmth and her nurturing aura sparked his crush on his neighborly big sister.
As he grew, Su Qi thought his “manly” self would outgrow such childish moments. Yet now, enveloped in Wen Yin’s rose-scented embrace, seated on her fuller, more alluring black-hosed legs, with her soft curves pressing behind him, he felt transported back to that summer. The sensations were overwhelming, dreamlike.
“Phew phew phew~ Xiao Qi, open wide for some braised pork~”
Lost in blissful dopamine, his mind blanked until Wen Yin’s tender, wifely voice pulled him back. Her warm breath, laced with rose, grazed his ear, her unconscious lean pressing her curves against him. His face burned, ears included, surely red as fire.
“Wen Yin-jie, you… you’re too close, it’s… touching…” he stammered, feigning reluctance to save face.
Watching his face redden, steam practically rising, Wen Yin’s lips curved into a captivating smile. “I know, Xiao Qi. I did it on purpose.”
On purpose?
His brain short-circuited. What does that mean? Is she intentionally getting close? Shouldn’t I be explaining my absence? Something’s off.
As he puzzled, a piece of braised pork dangled before him. Starving since last night’s Wildcat meal, he opened his mouth instinctively, savoring the sweet, tender meat.
But then, Wen Yin picked up another piece with the same chopsticks. Su Qi blinked, confused. She usually balanced meals with vegetables after meat, ever thoughtful. Expecting another bite, he opened his mouth, only to see her eat it herself, her red lips closing elegantly.
Those chopsticks… she fed me, now her… an indirect kiss?! His peach-blossom eyes widened.
“Wen Yin-jie… chopsticks, indirect…” he mumbled, trembling.
She swallowed gracefully, pressing a finger to his lips, silencing him. Waiting for his breathing to steady, she spoke solemnly. “Xiao Qi, I know. That was on purpose too. Do you hate it?”
He shook his head vigorously. Seeing no resistance, her gentle demeanor shifted to a rare somberness. “I’m not family, Xiao Qi. As a neighbor, I have no right to your whereabouts.”
Her self-reproach and the sadness in her phoenix eyes, shadowed by dark circles, stirred complex emotions in Su Qi. Her care warmed him, but guilt over neglecting her messages gnawed at him.
As he opened his mouth to explain, her slender finger silenced him again. Her voice, like a spring breeze, continued. “I’ve thought about this, Xiao Qi. If a neighbor has no claim, can I take another role?”
Another role?
Before he could process, she guided his wrist to her soft, bouncy chest. “Can you feel my heart, Xiao Qi?”
Thump thump~
Her strong heartbeat pulsed through fabric and softness into his palm. The dreamlike scenario overwhelmed him. Her near-confession left his mind chaotic, nodding on instinct.
Her lips curved faintly, eyes narrowing with a mysterious allure despite her modest attire. Releasing his hand, she picked up another piece of pork, biting one end gently. “Xiao Qi, ah~~”
Her rose scent mingled with her approaching presence, her unbound purple hair cascading like a floral sea, shifting her usual warmth to something enchanting. As her hair brushed his face and her stunning face drew closer, his heart pounded. Pink bubbles, like in romantic dramas, filled his vision, his mind melting.
Gulp.
The sweet pork entered his mouth, followed by an indescribable, rose-flavored softness—Wen Yin’s lips. Stunned, he froze. I… kissed Wen Yin-jie? She’s so sweet! Is this a punishment? It’s pure bliss!
As he savored the moment, Wen Yin, sensing his ragged breathing, pulled back before he fainted. Lifting his limp form, she walked toward the bedroom, asking softly, “Xiao Qi, is this okay?”
Her vague question, steeped in the room’s romantic haze, was clear. Ready to nod and step into adulthood with his beloved Wen Yin-jie, a sudden crash shattered the moment.
Bang!
“Witch, what are you doing to my little junior?!”
