Chapter 4: A Thousand Nights. The target of this prank is you!

“Last spring, on our way home, we were in a car accident. Sara protected me, and glass shards cut her eyes.”
Hoshiori Tsukiyo smiled, deliberately lowering her voice to sound lighthearted.
“The scar under her eyebrow still hasn’t completely disappeared.”

Jakui Rinrincho’s gaze drifted back to Someya Sara.

So cute.

Jakui Rinrincho thought.

Skin snow-white, eyes a hazy blue, hair like moonlight—pure, soft, flowing. Combined with those overly delicate features, she really was like a doll…

Those blind blue eyes were lifeless and a little hollow, but because her brows and the corners of her eyes drooped slightly, she looked especially harmless and pitiful. The kind that made people want to bully her.

Only her thick hair had grown far too long without trimming; it tangled around her earlobes and brows, casting tiny fragmented shadows.

But if you looked very closely, in the dim shade beneath the left brow, there really was an extremely faint mark. Almost impossible to notice—like a hairline crack on white porcelain. Even Jakui Rinrincho had to stare for a long time before she saw it.

Soft.
Obedient.
Fragile.

As though anyone could bully her, anyone could easily leave marks on her body and her life.

Jakui Rinrincho felt that way.

She even imagined—if she bullied Someya Sara right now, that nearly transparent face would slowly flush peach-pink or cherry-blossom pink, an enticing color…

Lips bitten tight, eyes red, long lashes glistening with tears. The whole girl would suddenly become vivid and pitiful, completely different from her usual dazed innocence.

“Miss Someya, I was rude. Please don’t mind.”
Despite the wicked thoughts churning inside, Jakui Rinrincho kept a faint polite smile, her voice perfectly calm and normal.

Someya Sara shook her head.
“N-no… it’s fine.”

“Really? Miss Someya is so gentle.”
Jakui Rinrincho continued, concern in her tone just right.
“Why don’t we sit at the table first and wait for Tsukiyo to finish preparing lunch?”

Inside, Someya Sara was screaming: Run away run away run away.

But…

Jakui Rinrincho had already said it. With the original host’s bully-the-weak personality, she had no choice but to obey.

QAQ.

“This way, Miss Someya.”

Jakui Rinrincho released her hand and stepped aside, clearing the path to the dining table.

Someya Sara rubbed her reddened wrist, carefully tapped her white cane, and walked toward the table, brushing past Jakui Rinrincho.

The silver hair at the girl’s waist was bright and soft.

It floated in the air and, for a brief moment, brushed across Jakui Rinrincho’s fingertips.

Jakui Rinrincho curled her fingers. Her gaze openly chased the girl’s back. A low, almost inaudible laugh rumbled in her throat.

So cute so cute so cute.

This person…

Was practically a toy custom-made for her.

She wanted her.

What’s going on?

Someya Sara suddenly felt a chill.

An inexplicable, dangerous feeling—like a little rabbit being stared down by a big gray wolf. Every hair on her body stood up.

That gaze clung to her, focused and unblinking, coiling around her like a venomous snake flicking its crimson tongue.

Panic, confusion, and fear crashed over her all at once. She felt uneasy, suffocated, dizzy.

…She wanted to cry. Really wanted to cry.

The girl quietly rubbed her burning eyes.

.

Time: 『12:31』

Thirty minutes had passed since Someya Sara almost got scared to tears by Jakui Rinrincho.

Hoshiori Tsukiyo had finished preparing lunch.

All very ordinary home-cooked dishes.

Yet the mackerel was fried perfectly, the salad bright and colorful, the potato-beef stew rich with sauce, and the miso soup fragrant and delicious.

“I’m digging in.”

(The three said in unison.)

After eating for a while, Jakui Rinrincho—whether intentionally or not—brought up the trending topic, acting as though the ridiculous rumors were both absurd and a little troubling.
Hoshiori Tsukiyo didn’t want Someya Sara to know, but since Jakui Rinrincho mentioned it, she could only occasionally smooth things over.

“It’s all nonsense! So annoying!”

“I love Sara so much—I’m completely loyal to her!”

“I’m really happy with this life…”

Someya Sara stayed silent, dutifully playing the role of a tool husband.

She thought: right now, in front of her blind girlfriend, Hoshiori Tsukiyo and Jakui Rinrincho were probably openly holding hands under the table, being all lovey-dovey.

Or maybe even acting out one of those spicy doujinshi scenes she used to read.

Well…

Good thing she couldn’t see. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

Come to think of it, when Xiao Nuosang first explained this yuri hell world, it said Jakui Rinrincho loved playing all sorts of little games…

Poor Hoshiori Tsukiyo—her “useful wife” was only about 150 cm tall, barely taller than her, voice soft and gentle… so pitiful…

Just as Someya Sara was slowly chewing a small piece of potato—

Suddenly, a warm, suggestive softness brushed against her calf. Across the gray tablecloth and her white stockings, it rubbed slowly, deliberately, point by point.

E-e-eh?!

Someya Sara’s eyes widened slightly.

Did they start flirting under the table and rub the wrong person?!

She wasn’t asleep yet!!!

“Speaking of which, the story painted that president in a really terrible light.”
Jakui Rinrincho idly stirred her rice, sighing as if helpless.
“Said she enjoys toying with girls’ bodies and hearts…”

“That’s just how rumors are. President doesn’t have to mind.”

“I don’t mind myself.” Jakui Rinrincho’s tone was leisurely.
“I’m only worried Miss Someya and you might feel uncomfortable seeing it.”

Before her words finished—under the table—

(Omitted meow!)

Is this idiot for real?!

They can’t even flirt with the right person?!

Someya Sara went completely stiff. Afraid of reacting too obviously, she gripped her chopsticks hard, bit her tongue sharply, and pretended nothing was happening.

Hoshiori Tsukiyo remained blissfully unaware of the under-table storm and smoothly continued.
“It’s fine. The president and I are completely innocent, and Sara trusts me completely.”

Someya Sara: “…”

Completely innocent?

Holding back laughter.JPG

“Those rumor-spreaders are awful!”

Hoshiori Tsukiyo went on.
“They should all be caught and properly punished!”

“Punished?”

Jakui Rinrincho’s eyes narrowed slightly. She glanced at Someya Sara, almost imperceptibly.
“Indeed… they really should be properly punished.”

And so—under the table.

(Omitted meow!)
