Chapter 46: Is this considered… a ground bang? ? ?

As a Chinese boy, Su Qi, like most, knew little about nuns due to the rarity of religious culture in China, especially post-spiritual resurgence when churches became scarce. Still, faced with Ye Fu Fu in her pristine white nun outfit adorned with a holy cross, he found the exotic, sacred charm irresistible. Who wouldn’t love a naturally gifted healer beauty?

Before his Crisp Wife upgrade, he’d have been thrilled to meet her. But recent events—surrounded by clingy beauties like Wen Yin, Lin Xue, and An Xiao Ling, plus the emotional turmoil from Wen Yin’s succubus revelation—left him drained. When he saw Ye Fu Fu at Mo Yu’s door, a fleeting awe gave way to numbness from sensory overload. His focus shifted to Mo Yu on the sofa.

“Hello, I’m Su Qi, Mo Yu’s classmate. I heard he’s injured and came to visit,” he said politely, his attention already on Mo Yu.

Girls can be complex. Ye Fu Fu, used to male attention for her looks even before awakening her nun ability, adopted a cold facade. Seeing Su Qi ignore her, barefoot and heading straight for Mo Yu, she felt an unexpected pang of emptiness. What’s this feeling? Noticing the Susu Bento’s faint healing aura at the entrance, her lips curved. Mo Yu’s childhood friend isn’t the unawakened nobody she claims. He’s hiding an ability—likely healing-based, given its pull. Interesting… I’ll have to investigate him later.

But sensing Mo Yu’s gaze, she decided not to intrude. Slipping on her nun boots, she left.

Mo Yu’s clean, simply furnished apartment, with its white walls, black furniture, and sweet scent, felt oddly comforting to Su Qi despite being his first visit. Familiar with Mo Yu’s gentle aura from years of friendship, he relaxed. “A-Yu, your place is so tidy! Which foot’s injured?”

Mo Yu, touched by Su Qi’s focus on her over Ye Fu Fu, felt warmth. True bros ignore beauty. Pointing to her slightly swollen ankle, left untreated for authenticity, she said nervously, “A-Qi, just a sprain. I’ll be fine in a few days, and we can go to school together.”

Following her gesture, Su Qi saw her bare, delicate foot—size 35-36, smooth and flawless, like a crystal ornament. Its beauty stunned him, the red swelling jarring its perfection. Even my Level 2 Crisp Wife form with 50 charm can’t match this.

Mo Yu, blushing under his intense stare, coughed and tucked her foot into a slipper. “A-Qi, have you eaten? I’ve got milk, bread, and your favorite snacks in the fridge.”

Snapped back to reality, Su Qi felt a twinge of loss but remembered his purpose. His peach-blossom eyes sparkled as he grabbed the bento. “A-Yu, I snagged this amazing bento at the night market. It’s super tasty and supposedly has healing effects. I ate one; this is for you. Got a microwave? I’ll heat it.”

Mo Yu’s eyes lit up at the luxurious Susu Bento packaging and its faint savory aroma. Milk and bread can’t compare to a hot meal, especially from my childhood friend. Nodding, she pointed to the kitchen. “Healing effects? Awesome. The microwave’s on the dishwasher, A-Qi. Thanks for heating it.”

Excited to help Mo Yu recover, Su Qi gave an OK sign and headed to the kitchen. Alone, Mo Yu, not wanting him to be bored while she ate, propped her swollen left foot and hopped on her right toward the TV to set up the gaming console for entertainment.

Setting the microwave to five minutes, Su Qi planned to calm himself by inspecting Mo Yu’s kitchen, pushing out the image of her stunning foot. But a thump thump thump from the living room drew his attention. In the small 35-square-meter apartment, he could see Mo Yu hopping toward the fridge, her pink lips parting as if cheering herself on. Her cute hops amused him.

Assuming she’d manage the short distance, he didn’t intervene—until a calico cat leaped onto her shoulder, disrupting her balance. “Ahh, Pudding, stop!” Mo Yu flailed, tilting backward.

Su Qi bolted from the kitchen, his slippers flying off. Barely in time, he caught her slim waist, preventing a fall. Straining to lift her, his face reddened with effort, but his six-point strength failed. I… can’t get up. Her light, fragrant weight grew heavier, her fair face inching closer until his back hit the cold floor.

Staring into her eyes, he realized their position mirrored a wall pin—except on the floor. A floor pin?

Meow~

The mischievous cat, culprit of the fiasco, yowled and fled, leaving Su Qi stunned.
