Jangbung dialed the number, his voice warm.

“Author! This is Manager Kim Jangbung. Congratulations on the completion!”

The author’s voice came through, bright but reserved.

“Thank you for the congratulations…!”

Jangbung leaned back in his chair, smiling.

“Are you using the iPad I gave you as a gift last time well? Haha”

The author paused before answering.

“It’s in perfect condition. You don’t have to worry even if your laptop breaks down!”

Jangbung nodded, scribbling a note.

“Now that it’s completed, we will make sure to proceed with the e-book version quickly.”

The author’s tone grew enthusiastic.

“Please take good care of it..!!!”

Jangbung chuckled, seizing the moment.

“Yes, please take good care of us too. And since you’re signing the e-book contract, how about signing an exclusive contract for the next work too? Haha”

A long silence followed.

“No, that won’t work.”

Jangbung blinked, caught off guard.

“Huh?”

The author’s voice was firm.

“Please take good care of this completed work.”

The line went dead.

“Author?? Author!!! You hung up the phone…”
