Chapter 5: Husband’s infidelity(5).

Even if his affair was exposed, Adolf figured Christina had nowhere to go. He leisurely donned a jacket.

He’d just sweet-talk her again to keep her around.

Saying he’d stop cheating would probably make her comply easily.

—But, well, it’d be a hassle if she actually left.

Assuming she’d be there, he opened the door to Christina’s room. It wasn’t empty, but traces showed she’d taken things from the wardrobe and drawers.

“…No way…”

Adolf clicked his tongue. He scanned the room.

Then, he noticed two sheets of paper pinned under a paperweight on the desk.

“Goodbye. Please divorce me.”

One was a note with those words; the other, a divorce form with her signature.

“Damn it…!”

Adolf furrowed his brow. A weight pressed on his shoulder as Olivia leaned against him. She moved the paperweight, picked up the note saying “Please divorce me,” and kissed it gleefully.

Then, she kissed Adolf.

“It’s fine. I’m an alchemical mage, too. I can make Heal Potions. I can easily replace her. So, divorce her and marry me. We’ve always loved each other, haven’t we?”

“…Loved each other…”

“Exactly. Our dream of marriage, blocked by your grandfathers, can finally come true.”

“Right… Yeah, that’s right! Can you take over the family trade?”

“Of course, for you, my love!”

“Then let’s get the divorce done. Look, her pen’s right here.”

He quickly signed his part of the divorce form.

“Here, hurry and file the divorce papers.”

“Yeah, leave it to me!”

With that, they kissed passionately, as if pressing their lipstick-smeared lips together.

Adolf, uninterested in the family trade, had no idea of Christina’s exceptional skills or that she’d been delivering Middle and High Heal Potions to the palace. He couldn’t know this would later cause a major problem.

Even Olivia was unaware of this.

As Christina wished, Adolf foolishly rushed out of the room, dashed down the stairs, took a carriage, and headed to the registry office to file the divorce papers.
