Chapter 6: A Subtle Feeling.

What kind of unbreakable brotherhood allows you to show your bra to your brother first?

Lu Hang himself was utterly bewildered.

They’d been roommates in the same dorm for almost a year now.
Their family backgrounds were worlds apart,
but Lu Hang had always had low material desires.
He judged people purely by whether their personalities clicked.
So this rich second-gen who got tired of being fawned over outside every day
especially loved hanging out with Lu Hang.
The two of them were genuinely ironclad—
shared topics, complete rapport,
the kind of bros who could literally share the same pair of underwear.

Precisely because they were such good bros.

He couldn’t tell anymore.
For a moment he genuinely couldn’t figure out
which was more outrageous:
comparing dick sizes while pissing together in the bathroom back then,
or now casually rating how good his bro looked in a bra.

Lu Hang reluctantly pulled back the fitting-room curtain.
Bai Huang lifted her eyes to look at him.
The black lace-trimmed bra contrasted beautifully against her fair skin.
Even though he’d half-expected the sight to hit hard,
that brief moment of daze still made Lu Hang suddenly realize—
she really was an extremely pretty girl right now.

The thought flashed through his mind and was instantly discarded.

This is my brother! What the hell am I thinking!

No matter what she turns into, she’s still the brother I shared pants with.
Can’t let the little head take charge of everything.

Bai Huang kept staring at him with an almost-smile, half-mocking.

“What?”
Lu Hang couldn’t help it—he subconsciously looked away.
“Looks pretty good. Can we buy it and go now?”

Her narrow phoenix eyes with the tear mole narrowed.
She suddenly jerked her chin, motioning for him to close the curtain again.

“What’s up?”
Lu Hang was confused but did it anyway.

Bai Huang lowered her voice:
“A bit later, you say it doesn’t look good.
Pretend you’re super knowledgeable… say the material is trash.”

Lu Hang was instantly speechless:
“Where the hell would I know anything about lace? I’m not a pervert. You’re joking, right?”

“Just… pretend to be a pervert then.”
She sighed, but couldn’t help laughing at her own words.
Then her face tightened again. She leaned in mysteriously, lowering her head:
“Bro, think about it. These shady bastards are selling one bra for almost a hundred yuan.
They can tell we’ve never bought this stuff before—they’re obviously trying to rip us off.
You wanna get ripped off?”

“That’s just how women’s stuff is.”
Lu Hang tried to reason with her:
“It touches the skin, so yeah, it’s expensive.”

She shook her head and whispered:
“The markup is insane. Who knows the real cost? I don’t believe it’s more than a few yuan.
I’m gonna be staying at your place for a while—I need to buy like ten or more.
If I buy that many at this price, they’ll scam me out of several hundred in one day…
I’ve got money, but I’m not gonna be a sucker.”

The fitting room was already cramped.
The moment she leaned closer, the scent of his own body wash on her suddenly flooded Lu Hang’s nose,
making his chest tighten with heat.

“So what do we do?”
Lu Hang thought about it and realized she had a point.

Not only was he accompanying his bro to buy bras—
now he had to help her haggle over bras too.

This was officially over the line.

“Just say the quality sucks. Then I’ll bargain. That’s the plan.”
She was decisive.

Lu Hang could only nod.

Bai Huang nodded in satisfaction and picked up the nearby T-shirt.
Right before stepping out, she placed a hand over her chest, expression slightly hesitant.

“Hey.”

“What?”

“Speaking of which.”

She said:
“Does this one actually look good or not?”

Lu Hang turned back—
and caught her with her hand resting on her own chest.
The black lace bra perfectly outlined her shape.
She lifted those narrow phoenix eyes.
For some reason—maybe embarrassment—
a faint blush dusted her face.
Her expression was tentative, probing.

Lu Hang opened his mouth, reflexively about to praise her like always—
then suddenly went silent.

Bai Huang didn’t mean anything else by it.
This situation had happened plenty of times before.
Whenever Bai Huang was about to go out chasing girls or partying,
he’d put on a sharp outfit—designer suit with Japanese street style, hair done—
then turn to Lu Hang who was gaming nearby and casually ask:
“Hey, Hang-ge, does this look good?”

He’d gotten so used to it that Bai Huang would try on one outfit after another just to ask Lu Hang’s opinion.
And Lu Hang, being the reliable bro, never skimped on compliments—
always “handsome as fuck, exploding levels of cool.”

But for some reason, this time the words “looks good” just wouldn’t come out.

It felt like if he said them,
something foundational in their relationship would shift irreversibly.

“It’s… whatever. Average.”
Lu Hang said.

“I fucking told you they were marking it up, and you didn’t believe me.
Look—I told them to knock it down or throw in extras, and they did, right?”
Bai Huang hugged the big bag of lingerie, looking smug as hell:
“Do you know who I am? Do you know how much my dad is worth?
Our family runs companies. These little tricks…”

“Truly, it takes one to know one. Business families are just built different.”
Lu Hang nodded along from the side.

Even though Bai Huang acted like the classic spoiled rich second-gen villain in school—
the kind who rolled deep with a posse, loved causing trouble,
and when truly pissed could summon ten luxury cars to block someone’s path—
the classic “Do you know who my dad is?” line,
always giving off the vibe that any second now some random protagonist would appear to slap his face.

But once you really got to know Bai Huang,
you realized she wasn’t actually a bad person at heart.

She was just a little dumb, a little quick-tempered.

If you had a softer personality and didn’t take her occasional stupidity or tantrums too seriously,
you’d find she was actually pretty cute.

For example:
She could buy the entire lingerie store with one phone call if she wanted.
But instead she chose the most down-to-earth method—haggling.

In the end, the bra price didn’t come down.

But she wore them out so badly they threw in three free lace panties.

Just asking—does the dignified Young Master Bai really need three pairs of lace panties?

Yet she strutted around triumphantly the whole way back, high on her victory.
Her personality in a nutshell.

“Did the clerk figure out your cup size?”
Lu Hang asked casually as they walked:
“You should remember it. Might need to tell them next time you buy bras.”

“They measured.”
She sighed:
“D cup.”

“Then your future kids are gonna eat well.”

“Fuck off, you asshole.”
She retorted.

On the way back, bickering was normal.
Suddenly gaining a new roommate—who’d undergone such an outrageous transformation—
but at least his old bro was now co-living with him.
When a brother hit hard times, you still had to give him a proper welcome.

They went downstairs and bought beer,
ordered lamb skewers for delivery.
Tonight they’d eat, drink, and talk it out.

Bai Huang turning into a girl was genuinely shocking.
Everyone was at a loss.

But things were already like this.
Might as well eat first.

The walk back felt a little quieter than usual.
They’d still been joking and laughing on the way down,
but now Bai Huang walked ahead holding the lingerie bag,
clothes slightly disheveled.
Under the loose T-shirt, the thin black bra strap showed on one delicate exposed shoulder.
Lu Hang had wanted to crack his usual jokes—
stuff like “turning into a girl really gave you a fat ass and big tits,”
or the usual crude “now that you’re like this, when are you gonna let your bro have some fun” tier teasing.

But walking side by side with her now,
hearing her hum a little tune,
smelling the nice scent of body wash on her—
suddenly he felt invisible boundaries clamping down.

The old dirty jokes he used to toss around freely
now felt like they might make her uncomfortable,
might cross a line.
For the first time, the usually carefree, joke-throwing Lu Hang felt inexplicably down.

“We’re still good bros, right?”

Carrying a huge bag of beer,
Lu Hang stared at the strap on her shoulder and blurted out the question on impulse.

“Of course we are.”

Bai Huang was in a good mood,
but something about the question felt off.
She narrowed her narrow phoenix eyes suspiciously:
“What’s up, bro? Why ask that out of nowhere? Someone bullying you?”

“Nah.”
Lu Hang said.

“If someone’s messing with you, tell me straight. Don’t pull that ‘don’t wanna trouble others’ bullshit.”
She snorted coldly:
“Don’t think just because I’m like this now I can’t still get people to handle things for you.”

“Got it.”

Lu Hang didn’t know what had come over him.
He wasn’t a particularly perceptive guy—he was actually quite slow on the uptake.

But that moment felt strangely delicate.

He genuinely didn’t know why he’d asked that question out of the blue.
