Chapter 6: The Girl Who Desperately Concealed Her Traces

Li Chunsheng was puzzled by Liuxia’s startled reaction: “Senior, what’s wrong?”

His face showed a completely innocent, clueless expression.

“N-Nothing!” Liuxia inwardly regretted it deeply. She had thought her junior had noticed something and was about to question her, but it turned out she was just overreacting.

“Chunsheng probably didn’t notice those shameful traces, right?” The girl silently prayed in her heart.

“If he found out, I’d have no face left to stay by his side.”

In truth, Liuxia’s emotions hadn’t calmed as quickly as she appeared on the surface.

Even until just now, her body and mind still carried the lingering aftershocks of the various sensations from throwing herself into Li Chunsheng’s embrace.

Her earlier cheerful, proactive attitude had simply been a cover for what she had done while lost in those feelings.

Those sensations—and what she had done—now filled the current Liuxia with terror. She felt like a monster.

Yes, a monster.

“Could it be that even in this form, deep down I’m still a goblin?” Liuxia couldn’t help recalling the feeling of being held in Li Chunsheng’s arms just moments ago…

At first, the girl had thrown herself into his embrace purely to play the role of a couple. Everything was still within Liuxia’s control.

Even when Li Chunsheng unexpectedly attacked the highlands, it only surprised her briefly. She quickly realized that his actions actually helped her act the part better, so she tacitly allowed it—and even asked him to continue.

Up to that point, everything was still under control.

Even later, when the snow peaks were kneaded until they ached, Liuxia still considered herself a man at heart. She wouldn’t feel shy, nor fear pain!

But what happened next clearly exceeded her expectations.

The reason was the scent of blood on Li Chunsheng’s body.

To be precise, the blood scent came from the bite she had given him before transforming. Though she found it strange that her junior had somehow gotten enough money to heal at Life Temple, that wasn’t important.

What mattered was that even though Li Chunsheng’s wounds had fully healed, traces of dried blood still remained.

As Liuxia stayed longer in his arms, the girl soon discovered that the scent of blood from her beloved junior carried an irresistible allure.

That allure almost instantly reminded her of the thought she’d had just before fully degenerating into a mindless goblin—how delicious Li Chunsheng looked.

“Chunsheng smells so good…” The thought suddenly popped into Liuxia’s mind.

Once it appeared, the idea spread uncontrollably. Even though she consciously tried to suppress it, she couldn’t.

So Liuxia left licking marks on Li Chunsheng’s chest—covering nearly all the bloodstains and leaving plenty of saliva behind.

That was also why she had proactively chatted earlier—to distract Li Chunsheng and keep him from noticing.

Back to the present scene between the two brothers…

“I see…”

After hearing Liuxia say “nothing,” Li Chunsheng didn’t think much of it. He simply assumed his senior was still gripped by fear from being chased earlier, and felt even more sympathy.

“Even though Senior acted so cheerful just now, she must still be scared inside…” Li Chunsheng thought.

Seeing that Li Chunsheng had been successfully fooled, a glint flashed in Liuxia’s red eyes.

“Now’s the time! I can’t delay any longer! I have to destroy the evidence completely!”

The next moment, Liuxia rushed forward. With a gentle expression, she helped Li Chunsheng take off his top and said in a helpless tone: “Look at you—your clothes are so dirty, and you’re still wearing them.”

“Without Senior around, you really don’t know how to take care of yourself.”

“Ah, well…” Li Chunsheng scratched his head awkwardly. Senior was still treating him like a child, as always.

“Really, I can’t do anything with you. Let Senior wash them for you!”

“Actually… there’s a…” Li Chunsheng tried to decline, but a finger pressed against his lips.

“No~ Since you’re letting me stay, Senior has to do something for this household too!” Liuxia said with a light laugh.

Alright, since Senior insisted, Li Chunsheng could only obey.

“Yay! Junior’s clothes, get da-ze!” Liuxia cheered inwardly as her plan succeeded.

Watching Liuxia happily carry his clothes toward the bathroom, Li Chunsheng felt a bit dazed.

“If I didn’t know Senior was originally a man, this feels just like newlywed life…”

“Well… but if she were really a girl, a beauty like this wouldn’t end up with someone like me anyway.” Li Chunsheng gave a bitter smile.

After all, what kind of transmigrator ends up this pitiful? He had a golden finger but could barely use it—though it saved him some money, he had to restrain himself heavily just to hide it.

Apart from his golden finger and good looks, Li Chunsheng’s other talents were extremely average. He couldn’t even get into junior college—stuck with only a high-school education, destined to remain a Black Iron-level commoner forever.

Even if he found a woman to marry in the future, she’d likely be very ordinary, and he’d probably have to pay a huge sum as dowry.

Li Chunsheng had already accepted his fate, but today’s events made his mind stir again.

“Speaking of which, I have time now to study the changes that happened to my body earlier, right?” Li Chunsheng lifted his arm and examined the perfectly healed wound from before.

“Really not a single trace left…”

As he observed, Li Chunsheng’s attention began to wander. After all, no matter how hard he stared, it was just a normal arm. Staring wouldn’t reveal anything.

“Huh?”

Suddenly, Li Chunsheng’s brow lifted. His wandering gaze landed on an anomaly on his sturdy upper body.

“I remember yesterday I had a few mosquito bites on my chest, right?” Li Chunsheng scratched his head, recalling.

“Could it be that when my arm was healed, those bites got healed too?” A guess formed in his mind: “Maybe I can try it out?”

At that moment, Liuxia came out of the bathroom, happily saying: “Chunsheng, you actually have a washing machine at home! That makes things so much easier!”

“Ah… that one was left by the landlord~” Li Chunsheng replied with a smile.

Actually, no—it was bought with money he saved using his golden finger. But to outsiders, Li Chunsheng often made excuses, claiming things were given or lent by others.

This was how he hid his unusually high spending power compared to his 【Gold Content】.

It was also one way Li Chunsheng used his golden finger to quietly improve his quality of life.

“What a good person!” Liuxia didn’t suspect a thing: “Chunsheng hasn’t eaten yet, right? Then let Senior cook for you~ From now on, you won’t have to order takeout anymore!”

“That would be great! I’ll help too!” Li Chunsheng nodded with a smile.

Perfect timing—he also wanted to test whether he had gained any new abilities.
