Chapter 60: The Pink Devil Attacks!

First off, the Silver Moon Guild was founded by a veteran transmigrator, offering the most comprehensive goods and the best reputation!

You wouldn’t expect Aphrosia to shop at the Dema Guild, would you? Come on, the Dema Guild is a suspect in the case she’s investigating! Why would she equip herself at such a shady place?

That said, it’s time for Aphrosia to figure out how to connect with the Silver Moon Guild’s president, likely a fellow transmigrator. But she must stay cautious. Who knows what motives another transmigrator might have? The heart is hard to read…

This was a lesson Aphrosia learned the hard way in her past life. She doesn’t trust easily—blood-bought wisdom.

Perhaps it’s time to dust off her old skills to secure the guild’s help…

No sooner thought than done. The blonde girl tidied up and led the two lolis to the streets.

She didn’t seem to care about finding a new house.

Understandable—she was headed to Fichel Town soon. A new house wouldn’t matter.

Yet, a nagging feeling tugged at her, as if she’d forgotten someone, paired with an ominous premonition…

Could it be… she’s finally remembering her arch-rival, Ifrora, by the Great Lake?

Nope, doesn’t seem like it.

And she’s apparently forgotten the troublesome mark on her leg… (Hinted at in Ifrora’s layered schemes~)

So, how did Ifrora react after Flo’s house exploded mysteriously and Flo vanished?

Let’s roll the tape!

…Cute Daphne switches the perspective!…

“No news on our lost pointy-eared mister~?” The pink-haired girl propped her cheek, twirling a strand of hair, her voice dripping with honey. Sunlight danced on the “Flo’s Mansion Explosion Report” before her, its margins doodled with cartoon Flo heads.

“Lady Ifrora,” the head maid lowered her gaze, “the scene was obliterated, no biological traces, no witnesses. Conclusion: accidental explosion likely.” She omitted the Church’s inaction and their moves against Sophia.

“Explosion, huh~?” Ifrora’s tone rose like a tune, blue eyes curving into crescents. “Looks like our dear pointy-eared mister’s house couldn’t stand his awful taste and decided to boom redecorate? And the Church’s old geezers? Are they so touched they’re giving this ‘stylish’ house a ‘Courage Award’?”

Maid: “…The Church’s investigation is sluggish.”

“Sluggish?” Ifrora chuckled, tapping an ugly turtle doodle on the report. “Their pocket watches need winding. We can’t keep our pointy-eared mister waiting—he’ll get lonely~”

She rose gracefully, her skirt swirling.

“Get our ‘Nightingales’ and ‘Moles’ moving. Triple the bounty, plus a Phoenix family magic item.” Tilting her head, her sweet smile brooked no argument. “Focus: who bought a ‘firework’ big enough to blow the roof off? Who hid his scent so cleanly? And…” Her eyes gleamed slyly, “that ‘Silver Moon rabbit hole’ he loves—any ‘shiny’ or new ‘animal friends’ there?”

“As you command, my lady.”

“Oh, almost forgot my ‘find-the-person game’!” Ifrora perked up, hopping to the room’s center. Humming an ethereal melody, she summoned a pink-hued music box, its starry core spinning rapidly.

She was tracking Flo Astraea’s unique magic signature, the one that made “the world so fun.” Find him, and… this time, he’d learn the consequences of vanishing~

The music box’s starry image froze, revealing a blurry, bustling street. A vivid golden light—brimming with life—stood out.

That one-sided contract still worked; Flo hadn’t undone it. (Or rather, he forgot…)

“Gotcha~!” Ifrora’s eyes sparkled as she leaned closer, like spotting a rare gem. “Looking lively, aren’t we? Making me miss so much ‘fun,’ pointy-eared mister~?” Her tone was pouty, but her eyes gleamed with toy-finding excitement.

She noticed two smaller, radiant presences beside the gold: a leaping red flame and a serene blue snowflake. Intriguingly, they were linked to Flo’s signature by faint “resonance threads”… tinged with holy light?

The image clarified, but the figure wasn’t who she expected—not Flo, but a blonde girl.

“Wow~?” Ifrora covered her mouth, eyes blazing. “What’s this? Tracking pointy-eared mister but finding cute little Aphrosia? Did he make a ‘new friend’? Or…” She tilted her head, pink hair slipping, her smile sweet yet dangerously curious, “did he become something more interesting, picked up by this dazzling canary?”

The thought made her giggle like silver bells.

She’d forgotten Aphrosia’s initial self-introduction, treating it as a jest. If it wasn’t, she’d give this canary a warm welcome~

Maybe turn her into an obedient puppy~?

Who knows?

Her gaze lingered on Aphrosia’s golden light, full of pure appreciation for a new “story character.”

“This canary… so radiant. And those two naughty kids beside her—their magic feels so like Flo’s birds…” Her smile widened, radiating a collector’s joy. “Such a fun trio—how could I not say hello? Flo, you bad boy, finding such great ‘new friends’ and not telling me first? So~ mean~!”

She spun lightly, the music box dissolving into her hair.

“Time to meet dear Aphrosia!” she chirped to the maid, like announcing a grand tea party. “Pack my latest ‘friendship magic’—‘Sticky Heart Glue’ and ‘Puffy Giggle Dust’! First meetings need to show our full ‘affection’~”

At the door, she glanced back, her smile pure yet piercing. “Oh, and ask this ‘canary’…” Her voice was syrupy, eyes mischievous, “if she’s seen a very, very, very tease-worthy, lost pointy-eared mister. I really, really, really miss him~”

The maid watched her master hum and skip down the hall, glancing at the music box’s lingering image of the oblivious blonde and her two clueless lolis, silently rubbing her forehead.

The pink devil’s “greeting” was on its way. Good luck…
