Chapter 7: Everything is ready, only east wind is missing.

Just a yandere, right?

Sure, she had no experience with yanderes in her past life, but she’d been a simp for half of it. Her skills at charming women were unmatched.

She didn’t know what Chen Siyu saw in her, but judging by the situation, Chen Siyu was the classic type—overflowing with possessiveness and dependency.

Her job was to cater to that possessiveness and dependency, build enough security so Chen Siyu wouldn’t think she’d run off with another woman…

No, with Chen Siyu’s yandere level, any contact with anyone would spark jealousy. Her social circle had to be Chen Siyu alone.

With a plan in mind, the method followed.

Song Yao had her next steps memorized.

Everything was ready; all she needed was the right moment.

Escape or doom—it all hinged on this.

“Xiao Yu, how’s the student council work going?”

At the dining table, Chen Siyu’s father, Chen Lei—one of Rongcheng’s business tycoons—looked at his daughter, who was quietly sipping porridge.

Chen Siyu set down her spoon. Her usually cold face bore a smile devoid of warmth.

“It’s going well. A friend’s been helping me, so it’s smooth.”

Her words carried a distant, formal tone, less like speaking to her father and more like a subordinate flattering a boss.

But for Chen Lei, this was already satisfying.

Before, his daughter only responded with “oh” or “mm” to his questions.

Hearing “friend,” though, Chen Lei narrowed his eyes.

“I had that friend of yours checked. Just an orphan with no parents. Better not contact her anymore.”

He sipped hot tea, a glint in his eyes. “I put you in the student council to connect with people of similar status, not her. Like your senior, Lin, from two years ago. I hear she often returns for charity events. Build ties with her.”

“Got it, Dad.”

Chen Siyu nodded slightly, expressionless, like a wooden puppet.

Beside Chen Lei, his wife, Lihua, nudged him with her elbow. “Enough, honey. It’s Xiao Yu’s private matter. Don’t meddle too much. Xiao Yu, ignore your dad’s nonsense.”

“Mm, thanks, Mom.”

Still no emotional ripple.

From start to finish, she didn’t glance at her mother.

One played good cop, the other bad.

Two peas in a pod.

It had been like this since childhood.

“I’m full.”

Chen Siyu set down her chopsticks and left the table.

But instead of returning to her room as usual, she shocked everyone by heading to the kitchen to tinker.

“Miss, what are you doing?”

Han Lin hurried after her.

The kitchen was a danger zone for Chen Siyu.

Raised with silver spoons, if she got cut by a knife, Han Lin’s butler days would be over.

“I’m making breakfast for Yao Yao.”

Chen Siyu answered briefly. Unlike her coldness at the table, her eyes now burned with enthusiasm.

Han Lin was dumbfounded.

You, a miss who’s never cooked, making breakfast?

Not afraid of blowing up the kitchen?

“Miss, there’s leftover breakfast. Just take some to her, or have the nanny make another portion.”

“No.”

Chen Siyu shook her head firmly. “My Yao Yao only eats what I make…”

Done for. The miss was in deep.

Han Lin’s heart ached.

She didn’t want Chen Siyu near Song Yao, but the master ordered her not to defy Chen Siyu. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have helped ambush and bind Song Yao.

What was so great about that Song Yao?

Even after Song Yao played straight with Chen Siyu, she wouldn’t let go.

Thankfully, Chen Siyu finished the breakfast without incident.

As for presentation and taste…

Han Lin couldn’t comment.

That brownish-yellow lump—was it edible?

You’d think someone left it on the plate.

Chen Siyu didn’t use her as a guinea pig. In her words, this was for Song Yao—no one else was worthy.

Han Lin didn’t like Song Yao, but now she felt a bit of pity.

Judging by Chen Siyu dumping two huge spoons of salt into that lump, it couldn’t taste good.

“Yao Yao, time to eat~”

Chen Siyu returned to the basement with her “masterpiece.”

Song Yao, gearing up for her plan, perked up.

But seeing the lump in Chen Siyu’s hands, she shuddered.

You call that food?

Sure it’s not poison?

“Yao Yao, I made this myself.”

Chen Siyu placed the plate in Song Yao’s hands. Her icy, elegant face leaned close, inches away, her eyes carrying a hint of threat. “Savor my love for you.”

This…

Song Yao’s hands trembled.

Just stab me instead?

I can’t bear this love!

But talk was talk. Her body was honest.

To escape this hellhole, what was a little suffering?

She took a deep breath, grabbed the chopsticks, and shoveled the lump into her mouth.

Instantly, the salty-bitter taste made her wince in agony.

But with Chen Siyu watching, she forced it all down, suppressing nausea.

Even Han Lin couldn’t bear to watch.

“How’s the taste, Yao Yao?”

“Great, great. Amazing…”

Song Yao swore it was worse than moldy steamed buns.

“You like it? I’ll make it for you every day.”

Every day?

Song Yao shuddered.

Just give me a quick death…

As Chen Siyu turned to leave, Song Yao called out.

“President, um… I have class this afternoon. Can you let me out?”

“No way.”

Chen Siyu refused without thinking. “Stay here nicely. I’ll take care of you forever. School doesn’t matter.”

“Sorry, President. I know I said harsh things today. I apologize!”

Song Yao dropped to a full bow.

At this point, dignity and face were nothing.

Only getting out alive mattered.

Chen Siyu’s expression chilled, a faint murderous glint in her eyes.

Song Yao’s heart raced, but she doubled down.

She was a gambler betting all her chips—life or death on this!

“President… no, Siyu. From now on, my heart’s only for you. I’ll never make you sad or cry like today. I swear!”

Chen Siyu’s gaze swept over her. She waved to Han Lin.

Soon, Han Lin brought Song Yao’s phone.

Chen Siyu took it and tossed it in front of her.

“Delete all your contacts and friends in front of me. Then I’ll barely believe you.”
