Chapter 8: Tailor Troubles and a Missing Sister

“Shopkeeper, bring two female tailors to measure my two granddaughters!”

Le Yushang, disguised as Liang Dekuai, brought Gu Yunfei and the others to the tailor shop they’d visited before.

With a grand wave of her hand, she didn’t let the sisters choose.

“Bring out the best fabric in this shop and make clothes for my granddaughters!”

“Best! Fabric! Sister, wear!”

Gu Yunfei faced Qing Zhuer, his tiny hands patting her chest, happily echoing the words.

Absolutely no intention of copping a feel! None at all!

For such a big customer, the shopkeeper immediately called the two best seamstresses to measure the sisters.

But for the most comfortable, form-fitting clothes, they needed to go into the changing room, remove their clothes, and be measured closely.

Qing Zhener tried to set Gu Yunfei down, but he wouldn’t budge.

He clung to her, gripping her neck tightly, nearly choking her.

With no choice, Qing Zhener took her “little brother” into the changing room.

Gu Yunfei stood on a stool, his small head and big eyes staring innocently at his sister.

His eyes seemed to say, “Sister, take it off. Why aren’t you taking it off?”

“Oh, little brother, turn around. Sister needs to change.”

“Take off?”

Gu Yunfei’s strength gave out, and he plopped onto the stool.

He put his chubby finger to his mouth, then suddenly slapped Qing Zhener’s stomach.

“Sister take off, I take off—”

“No, no, little brother, you don’t need to help me undress. Just cover your eyes, and I’ll do it.”

Qing Zhener thought he was trying to help her undress and quickly stopped him.

But in truth, Gu Yunfei had already stripped off his own little clothes in a flash.

“Oh no, little brother, don’t do that!”

Qing Zhener covered her eyes with both hands, peeking through the gap between her middle and ring fingers.

“Sister, take off.”

Gu Yunfei went straight for Qing Zhener’s clothes, tugging at them.

“Hey, little brother, stop, stop! I’ll do it myself.”

She reassured herself inwardly, ‘He’s just a kid. He doesn’t have those kinds of thoughts. It’s fine if I undress in front of him.’

She patted her flushed cheeks and gently removed her clothes.

Shyly, she covered her body with her hands.

“Little brother, don’t look.”

Gu Yunfei ignored her, pointing at her thigh and puffing out his chest.

“Sister, none. Sister, weak! I have, strong!”

Qing Zhener shook her head helplessly.

“Kids are kids. They don’t understand anything.”

Seeing this, she stopped covering herself and spread her arms, letting the seamstress measure her.

“Miss, turn around.”

The changing room was small, so the seamstress couldn’t move behind Qing Zhener to measure.

Qing Zhener had to turn herself.

As she did, Gu Yunfei reached out and smacked the flesh in front of him.

Anyone who’s been hit by a toddler knows—those tiny hands may look harmless, but they sting like hell!

Qing Zhener felt exactly that.

She yelped in pain, jumping in place, clutching her backside.

“Little brother, don’t hit Sister. It hurts!”

But kids don’t listen.

The more you tell them not to do something, the more they do it.

Gu Yunfei’s two little palms clapped rhythmically, like playing an instrument.

The seamstress beside them stifled a laugh while measuring Qing Zhener.

“Hey, miss, don’t move, or the measurements won’t be accurate.”

Hearing the seamstress, Qing Zhener bit her lower lip, endured the pain, and stood still, letting Gu Yunfei’s hands smack away.

Her pale, elastic backside turned red and plump after his onslaught.

Gu Yunfei nodded, satisfied.

“Not bad. That’s the size I like.”

After the measurements, Qing Zhener wiped her tears, got dressed, and avoided looking at Gu Yunfei.

She planned to ignore him, but then remembered—her sister’s recovery and their life’s sudden improvement were all because of him.

Sighing inwardly, she turned and glared at him angrily.

Gu Yunfei looked innocent, reaching out to wipe the tears from her face.

“Sister, no cry.”

He gently kissed her cheek.

This made Qing Zhener laugh through her anger.

“I’m crying because of you! You hurt Sister!”

Gu Yunfei, seeing this, turned and stuck out his chubby little backside.

“Sister, hit.”

Qing Zhener burst into laughter.

She wanted to pinch his little butt but feared hurting him in her frustration.

Instead, she lifted him and planted a big kiss on his backside—kissing couldn’t hurt, no matter how hard.

Her face buried in his soft skin, she kissed fervently.

Babies’ bodies were always so clean.

She remembered doing the same to her sister when she was born, kissing her little butt endlessly.

“Sister can’t bear to hit you.”

[Qing Zhener’s current favorability: 85.]

[Leng Ningbing’s current favorability: -20.]

Gu Yunfei, thrilled at Qing Zhener’s rising favorability, saw Leng Ningbing’s drop by another 10 points.

His happy face collapsed.

Qing Zhener, dressing him, didn’t notice his change.

“Damn Leng Ningbing, what did I do to you?! Why does your favorability keep dropping?”

Gu Yunfei fumed, grinding his toothless gums.

“Stupid woman, just wait till I get my chance. I’ll punish you hard!”

“Little brother, your clothes are on. Let’s go—”

Qing Zhener pulled him back to reality.

Gu Yunfei happily spread his arms, letting his sister carry him.

After a day of antics, his tiny body was exhausted.

Feeling his head grow heavy and his eyelids droop, he lay on a pillow less soft than Liu Hongmei’s and fell asleep.

“Kids are kids. They sleep when they want.”

Qing Zhener gently pinched his chubby cheek.

She went to her sister’s room, found it empty, and started searching anxiously.

“Miss, what are you looking for?”

The seamstress asked.

“There was a six-year-old girl here. Where is she?”

“A six-year-old girl?”

The seamstress was puzzled.

“The other seamstress with you was holding my sister.”

Qing Zhener asked urgently.

“She said she went to get a measuring tape from the back, but I don’t know more.”

The seamstress replied.

“But we all carry spare tapes on us. I saw one on her clothes too.”

“What?”

Qing Zhener, holding Gu Yunfei, rushed to Liang Dekuai.

Seeing no sister by Grandpa’s side, she said anxiously, “Grandpa, my sister’s gone!”
