Chapter 11: Two Roadside.

A two-meter-tall earth and stone wall suddenly rose, blocking the path of the sword.

Bang!

The steel longsword hacked into it, carving out a deep notch. Because the wall had been constructed in a very short time, it was only a thin layer, but it still bought Shu Yue enough time to evade.

Shu Yue’s expression turned ice-cold.

She had truly overestimated Sart. After just a brief exchange, she understood that this guy was all show and no substance. He only possessed brute strength bought with money, yet his actual combat experience was terrible.

Dealing with someone like him was simple. As long as she refused to fight according to his rhythm and used even slightly unconventional moves, he would be unable to cope and expose massive openings. In real combat, such openings were often the key to deciding life and death.

Shu Yue had spent many years venturing through the outer regions with Anna and Mundo, surviving countless life-and-death battles. In terms of experience alone, she far surpassed these noble young masters who only trained with family servants.

Servants were servants, after all. They would flatter their masters. Sart’s arrogant self-confidence had been cultivated exactly this way.

Shu Yue had paid attention to Sart’s earlier spar with his attendant. The attendant’s true strength was actually higher, but to flatter Sart, he frequently deliberately showed openings.

[Fertile Earth Upon the Body · Flowing Stone Armor]

Earth and stone wrapped around Shu Yue’s hands like a layer of armor.

She tested it slightly. With the support of the earth and stone manipulation spell, she could control it freely.

Shu Yue stepped forward. Her left hand grabbed the sword blade that had stopped after chopping the wall and yanked it backward with sudden force.

The attendant youth felt the abrupt pulling force on his sword and nearly lost his grip like Sart had. Fortunately, his experience was clearly better than that muscle-brained guy. He gripped the hilt tightly while smashing through the roughly five-to-six-centimeter-thick stone wall.

Shu Yue’s right fist had already swung forward, landing squarely on the attendant’s incoming knee.

Bang!

A loud explosion rang out as the Flowing Stone Armor on Shu Yue’s right hand shattered. This was within her expectations.

[Fertile Earth Upon the Body] was something she had taken from the real Lia and hadn’t had much time to cultivate, so its effect wasn’t that strong. But it was still a Firefly-rank technique, so the foundation was there.

Her mind worked extremely fast. Several scattered stones were captured by her mana. After a brief pause, they turned into projectiles and shot toward the attendant youth’s face. A trace of solemnity flashed in his eyes. He released one hand from the sword and blocked the incoming stones.

One arm alone couldn’t block everything. Three stones struck his forehead, ear, and shoulder respectively, sending three sprays of blood flying. Shu Yue had deliberately chosen extremely sharp and fast ones.

After blocking this volley, the attendant youth’s face showed a ruthless expression. But just as he wanted to attack again, his abdomen was violently struck. A sharp pain followed. His eyes widened.

How is that possible?

A sharp earth spike had pierced through his abdomen. Blood quickly dyed the wound red.

When the attendant youth looked down, he was stunned. He couldn’t understand why Shu Yue could instantly cast a second spell right after releasing the first one. Mages needed to construct their spells, which meant there should be a casting window each time.

He raised his head and met Shu Yue’s cold amber eyes.

“You…”

Shu Yue had already seized the longsword. Without the slightest hesitation, she thrust it straight into the attendant youth’s heart.

Blood gushed out like a fountain after the pierce and flowed onto the ground.

The attendant youth’s eyes gradually dimmed as his life rapidly faded.

This scene shocked the surrounding spectators. They all retreated, never expecting things to develop to this point. Sart, who had just recovered slightly, also saw it.

Sart was completely terrified. He had seen people killed before, but he had never imagined someone close to him would be killed. What was happening before his eyes had exceeded his imagination!

Shu Yue flicked the blood from her hand and walked toward Sart.

Sart, with his swollen face, struggled to crawl away, but Shu Yue stepped on his leg with great force, nearly crushing his ankle. The pain made him scream.

“Aaaaah!!!”

Shu Yue flipped him over. Sart stared at her with wide eyes and shouted hoarsely,

“You… you dare kill me?!”

He was both shocked and terrified, because he didn’t know if Shu Yue would kill him the same way she killed the attendant. What if Shu Yue was a madman who really dared to kill him in front of everyone?

“No, don’t kill me! Don’t kill me!”

“Lia brother…” Belang had just opened his mouth when Shu Yue’s blood-stained fist came down.

This punch landed heavily on Sart’s eye.

He fainted on the spot. Shu Yue released the dead dog and casually wiped her hand on his clothes.

After finishing all this, she raised her head and looked at Belang with a normal smile.

“Big brother-in-law, is something the matter?”

“…”

Belang’s breath caught. He felt a chill in his heart and was secretly glad that he had incited Sart to deal with Shu Yue earlier.

After a pause, Belang said in a deep voice,

“Lia, what you did was a bit too much.”

“Was it?”

Shu Yue put on an innocent and naive expression.

“Where I come from, this level is just playing around. Besides, that guy over there dared to attack a noble. He deserved to die. I believe everyone here has no objections, right?”

Just playing around?

They looked at the master and servant on the ground. Sart’s face was swollen like a pig’s head, and the attendant youth had been pierced through the abdomen and heart…

You call this playing around?

Where exactly did you come from? It’s terrifying!

Belang’s face also stiffened. He didn’t actually care whether Sart’s attendant lived or died. If he had cared, someone would have intervened earlier, just as they hadn’t cared whether Shu Yue’s arm would be chopped off. Now that he was dead, it was simply because his own ability was insufficient.

A servant lacking ability deserved to die.

As for Sart… that was the Rory family’s business. It had little to do with them anyway.

Clap, clap, clap!

The heavy atmosphere was broken by the sound of applause. A refined, middle-aged man with a rosy complexion walked over with an old steward. He had a brilliant smile on his face as he laughed and spoke.

“As expected of the White Knight’s son. Truly extraordinary, hahaha.”

“Baron Lester.”

Shu Yue was slightly surprised upon seeing the newcomer. Wasn’t this the Lester Baron she had met that day?

She gave a simple, neither humble nor arrogant bow.

Belang’s expression darkened, but he quickly recovered and greeted his father very respectfully.

“Father, you’ve arrived.”

“Mm.”

Baron Lester nodded faintly. His attitude was noticeably less warm than when he had greeted Shu Yue.

Belang didn’t dare show anything on his face. He could only grit his teeth inwardly. He didn’t dare resent his father, so he transferred all that hatred onto Shu Yue. It was all because of his arrival!

Shu Yue, on the other hand, felt somewhat puzzled. She had the feeling that Baron Lester might have been watching from the very beginning. Moreover, she noticed that the aura around the baron was even more powerful than when they had last met.

And why does he look so happy to see me?
