Chapter 18: The yandere’s mouth is a lie!

“Siyu, I’ll be back soon—probably before curfew tonight.”

At the appointed afternoon time, Song Yao reported to Chen Siyu and left the dorm.

“Okay, I’ll wait for you.”

Chen Siyu reluctantly watched her go, staring at the graceful figure until it vanished from sight.

“Miss, you called?”

Han Lin appeared silently behind her.

Seeing the miss turned to a wifely stone, Han Lin’s heart was a mix of emotions.

Even she, caring for the miss nearly ten years, got no such treatment. Why could an unknown Song Yao make her fall so hard in half a year?

Even move from luxury to school dorm.

Han Lin scanned: peeling rusty bunk beds, worn desks, graffiti walls, air thick with cheap perfume and makeup stench.

Human habitat?

Not for Chen heiress.

She’d opposed the dorm move fiercely—but somehow the miss convinced master and madam.

“Follow Yao Yao. Report everyone she meets, everything she does—in detail.”

Han Lin hesitated.

Butler, not PI—out of scope.

“Miss, it’s Song miss’s privacy. If caught, she’ll resent you…”

Reasoning with yandere? Piano to cow.

“I’m worried bad women deceive Yao Yao. If discovered, she’ll understand. Just do it—no worries.”

“…Fine.”

Her dedicated butler—what choice?

Song Yao reached the gate—familiar Rolls waiting.

“Xiao Yao~”

Same rocket headbutt, same warm softness.

Xia Mengrou always nearly knocked out yesterday’s dinner—but after two yanderes, Song Yao’s complaints vanished.

Xia Mengrou’s quirks? Minor compared to sudden saps, basement jails, or casual self-cuts.

She glanced at the cat-rubbing Xia Mengrou in her arms—business mode on.

“Rou Jie, stayed up late again?”

Xia Mengrou looked up, guilty flicker.

“N-No.”

Song Yao frowned slightly.

“Dark circles showing—still deny?”

“Huh? Really?”

She had worked late urgently—but concealed with foundation, checked meticulously before leaving.

Mirror from bag—no trace. Foundation hid fine; needed magnifier.

“Self-confessed?”

Song Yao chuckled. Xia Mengrou realized—tricked!

Eyes turned resentful, sulking.

Song Yao gently held her hand, soft tone. “Don’t be mad, Rou Jie. You look off today. Health first. No joking with body despite busy work. If you collapse, what’s money worth?”

Silky combo—Xia Mengrou dizzy.

Joking—past life simp, she took classes to please goddesses.

This? Not even 50% skill.

Past goddesses immune—others? Dimensional strike.

Xia Mengrou’s eyes bubbled—Song Yao her world.

She cares like Mom!

“I’ll be careful.”

Song Yao relaxed, but nagged: “Check report thoroughly later. Any issue—fix ASAP.”

“Mm.”

Xia Mengrou nuzzled back.

Late nights tiring—but with Song Yao, heart warm, fatigue gone.

Trouble-free, intoxicating gentle haven.

Like Mom’s embrace.

“President Xia, suspicious person tailing us.”

Driver spoke.

Xia Mengrou frowned, reluctantly sat up.

Who dared interrupt her Xiao Yao time?

Song Yao sighed—boss life tough, tails everywhere—followed driver’s point.

Next second—nearly jumped from seat.

Good: not Xia Mengrou’s tail.

Bad: hers.

The stalker: Chen Siyu’s butler Han Lin.

Crouching blatantly behind roadside greenery, snapping photos—but camouflaging with a leafy branch over face.

Trusted me?

Immediate tail?

Yandere words—ghost lies!

“Xiao Yao, know her?”

Xia Mengrou noticed abnormality, eyes puzzled.

Song Yao shook head, serious nonsense.

“No. Probably your car. Rolls common in Rongcheng—but million-plus Phantom rare. Wants pics, fears trouble?”

“Odd person. I’d let her shoot openly.”

Xia Mengrou didn’t dwell—ordered drive off.

“Miss, Song miss boarded Rolls-Royce Phantom—gone. Grabbing shared bike to follow.”

Han Lin reported to Chen Siyu, heading to nearby bike.
