Chapter 72: A Defiant Defeat and a Culinary Catastrophe

“I’m not convinced!”

Luo Su tossed the pillow aside, tail bristling. A bad girl who can’t even register Steam—better than her? No way!

“Hah…”

Just careless! Get serious, and crushing Jiang Cha’s a breeze. Hmph, definitely! Luo Su gritted her teeth.

“Alright~”

Jiang Cha, unhurried, smirked, stretching lazily. As the game started, she “casually” suggested, “How about a fun bet?”

“Ugh… bet?”

Eyeing her four-loss streak, Luo Su’s face scrunched—something’s off. Is Player 1 stronger than Player 2?!

“…”

“No weird stuff!”

Seeing Luo Su’s silence, Jiang Cha’s mind wandered, blushing. When they first met, this kid had big misconceptions about her.

“Could it be?”

Shaking her head, feigning calm, she teased, “Su Xi, scared of me already?”

“N-no way!”

Luo Su’s face reddened, standing, punching the air. “I-I was going easy!”

“Hmph~”

Jiang Cha grinned—easy to fool as always. “Loser lets the winner touch them, deal?”

“Ugh…”

Glancing at her tail, Luo Su, too proud to back down, gritted, “Fine, but… we switch spots. N-not scared!”

(Hehe, Player 1’s mine!)

“Sure~”

Jiang Cha chuckled, picking Luo Su’s “brown chocolate.” She’d beat her with her own character. Hmph, mocking my skills?

“Ugh…”

Luo Su chose a “safe” character—if she couldn’t win, she’d annoy Jiang Cha! Make her pay for sneakiness.

(I won’t lose now!)

Five minutes later.

Jiang Cha’s hands left the keyboard, chirping, “What’s this move called~?” Luo Su, head down, mumbled, “…Fart attack.”

“Hmph.”

Smirking, Jiang Cha tossed a pillow aside. “Come here~”

“Ugh…”

Hesitating, Luo Su figured a man honors bets. Sitting over, her tail was predictably grabbed.

“Ugh…”

This isn’t right! Thinking fast, she nuzzled Jiang Cha’s wrist, eyes teary. “D-done?”

No one,

Can resist a succubus’s charm. Unless they’ve got her tail. Jiang Cha turned, hiding a smile. “What’s for lunch?”

“Ugh…”

Staring at her pinched tail, voice trembling, “A-anything’s fine.”

“Really?!”

Excited, Jiang Cha tugged hard. Luo Su “wah”ed, curling like a shrimp, wings fluttering. “R-really!”

“…”

Jiang Cha blinked innocently—not on purpose… but now it could be! (Hehe, bully the succubus~)

“Ugh…”

Limp on the sofa, tail barely wagging, only her wings fluttered happily.

“Rest up.”

Humming, Jiang Cha skipped to the kitchen. “Simple lunch—tomato scrambled eggs!”

“Ugh…”

Nodding weakly, Luo Su crawled up. Tail ruined, she wouldn’t give in!

“Must be the controls!”

Determined, she started a bot match—practice, then revenge!

Five minutes later,

Luo Su closed the game, tail wagging innocently. “This game… so boring.”

Glancing back, phew, Jiang Cha’s gone! Sneaking to the kitchen, she saw her happily slicing tomatoes.

“…”

Blinking, Luo Su thought, she actually cooks? Weird. Stepping closer, “Need help?”

“Nope!”

Jiang Cha spun, tomato-juice knife in hand. “Play games, I’ll call you for food!”

“!!!”

Startled, then touched, Luo Su chirped, “If you were my mom, that’d be cool!”

“???”

Jiang Cha gritted her teeth, knife thunking the board. “Say that again!”

“!!!”

Luo Su bolted. “Ugh… sorry!”

Back in the living room, eyeing the 1W+ PC, she decided to install Steam. Such a waste otherwise!

[Log in to your account]

“Huh?”

Blinking at the account, “Didn’t they say they couldn’t register?” She typed Jiang Ning’s birthday.

“…”

It worked. Luo Su blinked, dazed.

(They said…)

(Stuck at bot verification?)

Then, a page of risqué games! “Wah!” Face red, she exited fast. “N-now I get it…”

Scary…

Typical bad girl. She opened 4399, sticking to invincible mini-games for chill.

“…”

Jiang Cha eyed a pile of sliced tomatoes, troubled—no eggs! Buy now? Too late…

“Or…”

Guiltily, she fried tomatoes with tomatoes. Luo Su wouldn’t be picky… school’s tomato-egg dish was like this, right?

“Hmph, maybe…”

Smirking, “Tastes like school!” Beginner’s goal: edible!

“Second dish!”

Seaweed egg-drop soup—wait, no eggs! “…” Blinking, “Seaweed soup it is!”

“Genius!”

Quick dishes, but to be safe, she cooked longer. “Hmph, way better than last time for my sister!”

“Hehe~”

Soaking seaweed, she preened. “I’m improving fast—five-star chef soon!”

Soon,

She nailed: potato slices with potato shreds, tomato with tomato, plain seaweed soup, and pickled mustard. Barely three dishes, one soup!
